Swann House offers our guests an elegant venue for intimate
wedding ceremonies and receptions, bridal teas and private
parties. The grand ambiance of Swann House is enhanced by spacious
rooms with twelve foot ceilings, elaborate crown moldings, in-laid wood floors and crystal chandeliers. Our parlor houses a
baby grand piano, which is regularly tuned for your use. You and your guests are invited to enjoy the outdoor space around the blue-tiled
pool in our brick-enclosed
garden, as well as on our wonderful porches and decks. All event fees at Swann House include the expertise of our Events Consultant and Coordinator who will assist in planning all aspects of your
wedding and who will be present on your
wedding day to perfectly orchestrate your event. We work with a select list of Washington's finest caterers and event vendors such as florists, musicians and photographers to assist you in planning the perfect occasion. Swann house can comfortably accommodate a maximum of 75 guests for a
cocktail buffet reception and 36 guests for a seated
dinner. Weekend
Wedding Package The rental of Swann House for a Friday or Saturday evening
wedding includes nine of our twelve
guestrooms for a two-night weekend stay, in addition to a four-hour reception. This arrangement ensures privacy for your group and a high degree of service and personal attention from our Swann House Team. Our home becomes yours for you and your guests to enjoy. Sunday Afternoons We welcome one-night
wedding reservations with fewer
guestrooms on off-season Sundays, provided the reception ends by 6 p.m. Please contact us for details. Bridal
Baby Showers Swann House is the perfect location for intimate
shower celebrations. We offer a delicious afternoon
tea with gourmet sandwiches, assorted scones,
tea breads, savories and sweets. We can accommodate up to 25 people for an elegant afternoon

Meeting and
Conference Space For a wonderful change of pace, host your next retreat or
business meeting at Swann House. Our
Meeting Rooms are beautifully appointed, and provide an intimate and comfortable venue to maximize productivity. We can accommodate up to 14 people in a formal Board
Room environment, and up to 20 in a more casual setting. We offer a variety of rental equipment for your use, such as an overheard
projector, a projection
screen, as well as a flip chart and easel. Swann House offers
coffee and refreshments, catered
lunches and
Meeting Planning Services. Our Rental Fee for

Swann House is located in the historic Dupont Circle neighborhood at: 1808 New Hampshire Avenue, NW Washington, DC 20009. From Baltimore/I-95/Points North: Take I-95 South to the Capital Beltway / I-495. Go West to exit 31, Georgia Avenue. Take Georgia Avenue South approximately 1/2 mile. Take a right at sign marked Washington -- 16th Street. Follow for 7 miles until you come to New Hampshire Avenue at the intersection with U Street, just past V Street. Make a 45-degree right hand turn onto New Hampshire Avenue. Go through the stop sign at T Street and the light at 17th Street and we are on the right hand side at the intersection with Swann Street. From Pennsylvania Turnpike/I-70, I-270/Points North and West: Follow I-70 to I-270 toward Washington. At the 270 Spur, merge onto I-495 East (sign says toward Silver Spring). Exit onto Route 185 South, which is Connecticut Avenue. Follow Connecticut Ave. approximately 5 miles to S Street (at the bottom of a hill just past the Washington Hilton and Towers). Take a left and follow S four blocks. At New Hampshire Ave. make a left and we are the fourth house on the left at the intersection with Swann Street. From Virginia/I-66, U.S. Route 50/Points West: Cross the Theodore Roosevelt Memorial Bridge and follow signs to Constitution Avenue. Follow Constitution six blocks and take a left onto 18th Street, NW. Follow 18th Street all the way through downtown. At New Hampshire Avenue (just past Q Street) take a right (it is a 45 degree diagonal turn). Follow New Hampshire just past S Street and we are the fourth house on the left at the intersection with Swann Street. From Annapolis/U.S. Route 50/Eastern Shore: Follow U.S. Route 50 into Washington, D.C., where it becomes New York Avenue. Follow New York Avenue until you get to Florida Avenue (there will be a FedEx warehouse at the intersection). Take a right onto Florida and follow until it becomes U Street. Follow U all the way to New Hampshire Avenue at the intersection with 16th Street, NW. Take the 45 degree diagonal left turn onto New Hampshire. Follow New Hampshire through the stop sign at T Street and the stoplight at 17th Street. We are on the right at the intersection with Swann Street. From Richmond/I-95, I-395/Points South: Take I-95 North to I-395 North toward Washington. Follow I-395 over the 14th Street Bridge, where you should stay to your left. Follow 14th Street (U.S. Route 1) through downtown (just past L Street, you will dissect Thomas Circle). Continue North on 14th Street and take a left onto S Street. Follow four blocks and make a right onto New Hampshire Avenue. We are the fourth house on the left at the intersection with Swann Street. Directions from Washington Area

Airport: Follow signs to I-95 South and follow it to the Capital Beltway / I-495 West. Go West to exit 31, Georgia Avenue. Take Georgia Ave. approximately 1/2 mile. Take a right at sign marked Washington -- 16th Street. Follow for 5 miles until you come to New Hampshire Avenue at the intersection with U Street, just past V Street. Make a 45-degree right hand turn onto New Hampshire Avenue. Go through the stop sign at T Street and the stop light at 17th Street and Swann House is on the right hand side at the intersection with Swann Street. Via MARC Train or Amtrak (800-USA-RAIL): There is a shuttle bus to the BWI Amtrak Station which is a short distance. The fare to Washington Union Station is $5.50 for MARC and $12 for Amtrak. The train ride is approximately 30 minutes. Once at Union Station, either take a

Airport onto George Washington Memorial Parkway toward Washington. Follow signs for I-395 North which will take you over the 14th Street Bridge, where you will want to stay to your left. Continue on 14th Street through downtown (just past L Street, you will dissect Thomas Circle). Continue North on 14th Street and take a left onto S Street. Follow four blocks and make a right onto New Hampshire Avenue. We are the fourth house on the left at the intersection with Swann Street. Via Metro: Follow the signs to the Metro from the terminal. Take the Yellow Line in the direction of Mt. Vernon Square/UDC (sings will say Downtown Washington, D.C.).
Transfer to the Red Line at Gallery Place/Chinatown Station. Take the Red Line in the Direction of Shady Grove. Exit at Dupont Circle Station. See below for directions from here. Washington Dulles International
Airport: Follow signs for Route 28 South to the Dulles Toll Road (East). Take the Toll Road toward Washington. It will merge into I-66 East. Continue on I-66 until you cross the Roosevelt Memorial Bridge. Exit onto Constitution Avenue and follow six blocks to 18th Street. Make a left on 18th Street and follow through downtown to New Hampshire Avenue just past Q Street. Make the diagonal right onto New Hampshire Ave. and we are two-and-a-half blocks up on the left just past S Street at the intersection with Swann Street. Via Washington Flyer/Metro: Exit the terminal and go to Curb Site 1D. Take the Washington Flyer shuttle bus (it runs on the hour and half hour) to West Falls Church Metro Station. The cost is $8 one-way and $14 round

Center,
