In Canos de Meca the beaches are of a great variety and beauty, without the lack of space of other places. These are virgin beaches, clean whenever nature allows it to be, and tranquil; nudism is part of the identity of our beaches. A) Playa del Faro y la Curva. The El Faro y La Curva Beach is a never-ending beach beginning at theTtrafalgar Lighthouse all the way to Conil. Here you can find the Zahora and Mangueta Beaches, known for their fine sand. Marvellous sundowns can be seen from here because of their orientation towards the west. They are very calm but the waves can sometimes be dangerous for children. La Curva, or Marisucia Beach is on the other side of the lighthouse, called Marisucia (dirty sea) because of its seaweed., thrown in by the sea towards the coast with the east wind. There are also especially beautiful creeks around the Cape between these two beaches. At the feet of the Playas del Estrecho apartments. Uncomfortable to bathe in but great for windsurf. C) Pirata. Receives its name from the restaurant at it's entrance. The most family-oriented and nearest to bars and chiringuitos. The first fresh water springs fall from the precipice that separates the beach from the road. D) Castillejos Narrower and rockier beach where the practice of nudism is common. E) Nudista and acantilados. This beach can only be accessed through the Castillejos beach. Illegal camping on the rocks is frequent. As you go into the cliff you can enjoy the spectacular view of caves and famous water curtains falling from the top of the cliff. You can only carry on by boat or swimming. The cliff has beautiful views.

The Los Canos night life offer is based on bars near the beach and chiringuitos (beach bars or stands) There are quite a few pubs and discos with live concerts and performances. Late in the morning, when the rest close, there's a tent towards Conil that opens till sunrise. In summer, have a look around the Fairs and Festivities of the surrounding villages, Conil, Barbate and Veier. We must mention the Fiesta del Tambor (The drum festivity-28/08), celebrated for the last three years on the Faro Beach. Here, where hundreds of people dance to the rythm of drums around the fires that light up the beach.

In our area you can find interesting vestiges of the past to visit. - Torre del Tajo (16th century), an almenar tower located on the cliff of the same name. - Torre de la Meca (19th century), on top of a hill, to watch over the coast. - Torre de Trafalgar, next to the Lighthouse of the same name, mostly in ruins. - The San Ambrosio Hermitage (7th century), visigoth architecture. - Castillo de la Almadraba, in Zahara de los Atunes. You can visit all the surrounding villages from our hostel. - Barbate, a fishing village where the almadraba type nets are still used to fish. - Conil de la Fra., a small fishing village that mixes charm with tourism. - Vejer de la Fra. Part of the Historical Artistic Group belonging to the White Villages, with patios that remind us of Arabic settlements. - Tarifa, with Guzman The Good's Castle and the famous windsurfing tournaments. - Bolonia, with the famous Baelo Claudia ruins. Jerez's towns are specially important, as a center of wine, horses and flamenco, and Cadiz the tacita de plata (little silver saucer), with 3000 years of history, the oldest city of Western civilization. · Other activities: - -Searching for cetaceans - -Flying in microlight and light aircrafts. - -Visits to salting plants

Surf, windsurf and Flysurf are three popular sports in our coasts thanks to our wind and waves. - Scuba-diving is also practised with interest thanks to our reefs and ruins of boats hidden in the coast. (Those that do not know the area should be cautious with the sea currents) There are diving centers nearby. - Underwater and rod fishing This sport is practiced all year round thanks to the great variety of fish. - Aquatic motorcycles and skiing are not the most welcome because of the acoustic pollution they produce. - Trekking, horse riding, biking, canoeing, etc. Many companies of the area offer many different tourist activities.

This is the area's real treasure, an artificial wood born thanks to reforestation carried out in the 19th century. It also include a stretch of sea of a great landscape and natural value, with 100m height cliffs.. The characteristic tree is the pinon tree, covering most of the Park, though there are also areas of eucalyptus and carrasco pine. The park is owes its importance to its wide variety of species and flora. Since the park isn't very big, you can visit it all cycling or walking.

HTTP://WWW.ESCREATIVA.COM. Welcome to Canos de Meca, in the Costa de la Luz, one of the most exceptional coasts of Andalucia. A unique and emblematic place thanks to our La Brena Natural Park reaching out to the shores of our beautiful beaches. These beaches are considered the most virgin of the area, where nudism surprises no one, and the hippie movement takes us back to the 70s.
