HOTEL'S HUMAINA ECOLOGICAL AND CRAFT PROYECT: Each
bathroom has notices regarding the responsable use of towels and conserving water. All cleaning products within the hotel are biodegradable. To create our own
kitchen garden to grow to provide natural produce for our guests and for home made preserves. For
breakfast we serve in small dishes which are constantly replaced to ensure freshness (olive oil, butter, preserves, cereals, bread, honey, suger, fruit juices). Exhibition and sale of local crafts. All waste products are ecologically disposed to protect the enviorement. Water is heated by solar energy. Porpane gas is used for cooking. Water waste is biologically purified prior to releasing. The
beauty of the natural vegetation surrounding the hotel is constantly maintained and improved. The creation of a nature walk to experience the fauna and flora. Various field talks and activities will be organised to increase your appreciation.
If you are coming from Malaga, the city, ask for Fuente Olletas, in the northen part of the capital. This is where the C-345 Malaga-Colmenar road starts. It is known as the Colmenar road or the Montes road. Once you have taken this road you will drive 15 kms until, to your left, you will find Fuente de la Reina. When you reach this point you will find a ramp-lane to your left of 38 kms. Follow the yellow route (the trees are marked with a yellow stripe), until you find another path to the left which is where the blue route starts (the trees are marked with a blue stripe). This path will lead you to the doors of the hotel. If you are coming from the
airport in Malaga, take the road that goes to Antequera down the N-331 motorway up to Casabermeja. Take the number 148 exit leading to Velez-Malaga and Colmenar. That is the A-356 road that takes you to Colmenar.At the entrance to the town you will find a STOP sign as well as signs that will take you to Fuente de la Reina. Then follow the instructions underlined in the above paragraph. If you are coming from Seville and Cordoba along the A-92 motorway you must leave Antequera behind, taking the motorway to Malaga. You will find exit 147 to Casabermeja,Colmenar and Velez-Malaga. It is very important that you take the 147 exit and no other.Few metres later you will find a junction, take the road to the left and follow the indicators to Colmenar. At the entrance to the town you will find a STOP sign as well as signs that will take you to Fuente de la Reina. Then follow the instructions underlined in the first paragraph. If you are coming from Granada along the A-92 motorway, when you are near Riofrio without leaving the motorway take the number 177 exit, you must continue along the motorway leading to Malaga. Situated in the heart of the Montes de Malaga mountains mass, is the Montes de Malaga Natural Park. 16 kms. to the North of the city of Malaga, the Park's altitude is of 1.031 m. above sea level, with an overall area of 4.762 has. The Park is riven with pine-trees, holm, cork and gall oaks. The Park's fauna has protected species of animals such as weasels, chameleons and short-toed eagles.
