How do we get to Nevis? Please see About Nevis (getting there) for airline information. Charter flights with Carib Aviation are available. A frequent ferry service also operates between St. Kitts and Nevis. We can advise on ferry schedules and advise on flights between the islands. How do we get from Nevis Airport to the Manor? Taxis are available at the airport and close to the ferry dock for the short trip to the Manor. From the airport it is a 25-minute ride and from the Charlestown pier it takes approximately 10 minutes. What are the immigration requirements? A valid passport is required for all visitors to Nevis. Visas are not required for visitors from USA, Canada, UK and most European nations. Please let us know if you travel with an unusual passport and we will check for you. Does the Manor have hairdryers in the rooms? All the rooms and suites at the Manor are equipped with hairdryers, coffee machines, mini-fridges, safes, irons and ironing boards. Do you have laundry facilities? We offer a complimentary laundry service to our guests. An iron and ironing board are provided in all rooms and suites at the Manor. Does the Manor have televisions in the rooms? The Manor has cable television in the guest lounge for those guests who feel compelled to watch the news or a sporting event. We find most guests are very happy to get away from television during their stay. We also have a well-stocked library. Does the Manor have air-conditioning in rooms? A/C is not needed because we are situated a little higher on the island and we catch the sea and mountain breezes. All rooms have ceiling fans. Does it get hot in summer? In the summer months the temperature will reach the high 80s during the day and drop into the 70s at night. In winter it will be seven to eight degrees cooler. We do not experience the 90's with high humidity as on the eastern seaboard of the USA. What type of electricity is used at the Manor? The Manor has 110V 60 cycle current throughout the property. When is checkout time? Our checkout time is 12 noon, however whenever possible we will try to accommodate those guests with a later departure. Can we bring our children? Children are welcome at the Manor. What currency is used in Nevis? The Eastern Caribbean (EC) Dollar is the official currency in Nevis, although you will find that the US Dollar is accepted almost everywhere. The exchange rate at most hotels and restaurants is generally between EC$2.65 and EC$2.7 to the US$. Major credit cards are widely accepted. What about telephones? There are direct dial telephones in all the suites and rooms. What about Internet? An Internet station reserved exclusively for our guests is located at the reception. We also have some suites and rooms with WiFi access. What is the dress code at the Manor? Casual by all means during the day! However, after 6.00pm, we do request no shorts or tee shirts in our bar and elegant restaurant. Vehicle rentals and Driving licences It is possible to rent both cars and jeeps and this is highly recommended in order to enjoy Nevis to the fullest. A local driving licence is required which will cost US$25 on production of your valid regular license. How far is the Manor from the beach? The Manor sits on the slopes of Mount Nevis and is roughly a 10-minute drive from several beaches. Does the Manor provide beach transportation? For those guests who do not have their own transportation, we will be happy to take you to Pinneys Beach in the morning and collect you in the afternoon. Can we get married at the Manor?

Accommodations at the Manor are in the historical plantation buildings, scattered across the estate in grounds filled with trees and exotic flowers. All rooms and Suites include amenities such as mini-fridges, ceiling fans, direct-dial telephones, coffee makers, irons, safes and hairdryers. A monogrammed luxurious cotton waffle weave bathrobe is provided for each guest for use during your stay. Our Suites and Deluxe Rooms have their own verandah. With an average size of 800 square feet, our spacious Plantation Suites are the ultimate in total comfort and luxury. Each one features a large bedroom, full bath suite, including his and her own sinks, and a separate lounge area where you can relax. PETREA SUITE. Our 400 square feet Deluxe Rooms are larger than many Suites elsewhere, and offer bathrooms with showers or tub/showers. Each room has the same amenities as provided in the Suites.

The Cooperage Restaurant at the Manor has earned a great reputation for fine food served with the quiet elegance of yesteryear. Our award winning Head Chef uses the freshest ingredients to create a wonderful fusion of International and Caribbean gourmet cuisine for your delight. Enjoy your breakfast or lunch on our breezy terrace with panoramic views of the Caribbean sea and the neighboring islands in the distance. Meals Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served either in The Cooperage Restaurant or on The Terrace in the open air. Breakfast is served from 8:00 am; lunch from 12 noon; and dinner from 6:30 pm. Last orders are taken at 9:15 pm. From time to time throughout the year you can enjoy a dinner dance under the stars in our courtyard to the sounds of one of our terrific local bands.

The Manor can assist with any desired activities while you are in Nevis. They can be arranged and scheduled by our front office. Golf Nevis has a Trent Jones II designed 18-hole championship course. It is without a doubt one of the most spectacular golf courses in the Caribbean. Club rentals are available. We can arrange advance tee-times if you so choose. Just bring your tees, golf balls and shoes. Nature Trails There are many trails around Nevis, a few starting only a few steps from the Manors doorstep. On your way, you may come across a variety of indigenous flora and fauna. Bring your binoculars for some fascinating bird watching. Monkeys are often seen in and around our property. Horseback Riding/Horse Racing Horseback riding is available near by to explore our countryside. Horse races are held monthly at the Indian Castle Racetrack. Youll find music, food, and exciting racing action with parimutuel betting. Deep Sea Fishing The waters around Nevis abound with gamefish, including Mahi Mahi and hard-fighting wahoo and kingfish. The front desk can arrange full or half-day excursions with experienced captains. Watersports Scuba diving and snorkeling are just great! The warm Caribbean sea hosts a large variety of tropical fish, big and small. Together with sea kayaking and windsurfing, these activities are all available on Nevis and will be easily arranged for you. Excursions Numerous island tours and picnics offer an ideal way to explore Nevis. Our front desk can arrange the details. Day Sailing Nevis offers several choices with half or full-day charters. We would be more than delighted to handle your reservations. Rainforest Hike The Manor will arrange a guide for your hike to the top of Mount Nevis at 3,232 ft. to explore the dormant volcano crater. This guided tour is approximately four hours roundtrip. This hike is not for the faint of heart! Bring a good pair of hiking shoes. Tennis Courts are nearby and the Hotel can make arrangements.
