Recommended One Day Tours from San Jos? Cost: US$79(adult) US$45(children 5-11). San Jos? City Tour(Afternoon). Pick-up time: 12.40 p.m. aprox. The tour starts taking you through the East of the city of San Jos, passing the Democracy Park, National Museum, Federal Courts, Los Yoses neighborhood, San Pedro Mall Center and Rodrigo Facio University city of Costa Rica. At the top, of the volcano the principal craters are seen and on a clear day it might be possible to distinguish both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. We will continue descending to the city of Cartago, stop at the Baslica of Los Angeles, a traditional pilgrimage center for many Catholics. After our visit to the Basilica of los Angeles we will continue to Lankaster Gardens, investigation center of the University of Costa Rica which protects more than 800 species of orchids and bromeliads, in addition of other varieties of plants. The tour continues with a ride through the unique beauty of the Orosi Valley. We will visit one of the few colonial churches and is also where we will stop to enjoy a delicious lunch. On the way back to San Jose we will visit the rustic Casa del Soador, well know for the rustic Costa Rican art. Suggested equipment: Hat, light jacket, comfortable walking shoes, insect repellent, binoculars and camera. Isla Tortuga (Pacific Island Cruise) (One day). Pick-up time: 6.00 a.m. aprox. Costa Rica is famous for its romantic day cruises to its exotic Pacific Islands in the Gulf of Nicoya. After a comfortable ride to the Pacific coast, you will board a luxurious yacht for the Pacific Island Adventure. Our final destination, Tortuga Island, famous for its pristine white sand beaches and crystal clear water that give us the opportunity to enjoy different activities. The Apartment has a double bed and large bathroom downstairs, a sliding door divides the downstairs bedroom from the fully equipped kitchen and sitting area, the upstairs mezzanine has two twin beds and a small bathroom. Main House #1: A small room with one twin bed, a window facing the common sitting area and a private, ceiling vented bathroom. Due to its location this room is not for noise sensitive people. Main House #2: A room with one double/full bed, a skylight which has two windows that open to the outside, a private bathroom with ceiling fan ventilation. Main House #3: A room with two twin beds, a window which opens to the apartment's patio and skylight with ventilation in its private bathroom. Main House #4: A room on the second floor with two twin beds and a private bathroom; both the room and bathroom have windows that open to a terrace on the first floor. Main House #5: A tiny room right next to the laundry room with private bathroom. This room has one small twin bed and one window that opens to a terrace.
