The Atwood
Suite is our largest
suite and most frequently booked for romantic get-a-ways. It provides more than 800 square feet of ambiance, including a working wood burning fireplace, big
screen TV/VCR/DVD/
Cable,
CD player, huge leather sofa, and six window bay. The
bedroom has a king size three-piece walnut and marble Victorian
bedroom set with Sealy super plush Crown Jewel mattress and an ornate walnut wardrobe which is originally from Ireland. The
bath is patterned after a Roman
bath. It features a two-person corner heart-shaped
whirlpool tub surrounded by marble. Also included is a marble
shower,

Carriage House
Suite. The Carriage House (Branch
Suite), which we recently finished, is approximately 800 square feet of privacy located right next to the main house. You enter this
suite in the sitting
room which has a vaulted ceiling and features a leather queen sized hide-a-bed sofa, working fireplace, big
screen TV in an antique walnut wardrobe with VCR and DVD player,
cable with most of the premium
channels, and a
CD player. The
bedroom has a king size bed with Sealy super plush Crown Jewel mattress. French doors connect the
bedroom to the
bath, which has a large two-person Aquatic
whirlpool and separate walk-in
shower.
Breakfast is served in the main house or a
breakfast basket can be delivered to the Carriage House in the evening. This
suite also has a cheery
kitchen with white marble floor.

Frank W. Little
Suite. The Frank W. Little
Suite is named after the original builder of the house. It is L shaped. As you enter the
suite you are in the sitting area that includes a decorative cheery fireplace mantel, marble top
coffee table, a sofa and winged backed recliner and
TV/VCR with
cable. The
bedroom set is a walnut three piece set (high back carved bed with marble top dresser and wash stand) built in 1840 and given as a
wedding gift to the original owner. We have converted the bed to a king. The
bath features an original footed
tub, pedestal
sink and corner walk-in
shower.
The Beals
Suite is named after the couple who owned the house the longest. We have just finished completely redecorating this
suite. It has a three-piece walnut
bedroom set (Tester bed has been converted to a king size with Sealy
pillow top super plush mattress) in the
bedroom, Victorian furnishings,
TV/VCR and a
CD player in the sitting
room, while the
bath has a two-person corner
Jacuzzi with hand held
shower. This
suite has been upgraded with antique walnut Tester
bedroom set, new carpeting, larger
TV and installation of the
whirlpool.
The Atwood House hosts afternoon
weddings (conducted between 2 and 4:30 p.m.) for up to 40 guests at a cost of $300 plus sales tax.
Weddings before 2 p.m. or after 4:30 p.m. are $375 plus sales tax and contracting
party must also reserve all
four suites (Atwood, Carriage House, Beals and Frank W. Little
Suites) at the current rate. Included in the charges are: use of the first floor for the gathering and
wedding, up to forty (40) mahogany chairs, two (2) seven candle brass candelabra (candles not included), tables for guest book, unity candles and flowers. For afternoon
wedding,
two suites will be available as
changing rooms. Contracting
party and services will coordinate with the Atwood House management for use of facilities. Any furnishings moved must be moved by the Atwood House management. No smoking in the house is strictly enforced. No alcoholic beverages allowed. No food is authorized. Contracting
party and/or other service providers (i.e. rented chairs, harpist, photographer, etc.) is/are responsible for removing their items immediately following the event, unless other arrangements are made with the Atwood House management. Dripless candles must be used in the candelabras.

Suites are single or double occupancy only. Single occupancy
business rates available Sunday through Thursday. Check in after 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. without prior arrangements. Sorry no pets and no smoking. AMEX/VISA/MasterCard/Discover accepted. Due to the large volume of requests for
suites, we have a strict cancellation policy - if you must cancel, please let us know as soon as possible. If you cancel within seven days of day of stay a $50.00 cancellation fee will be charged. No shows will be charged the full
suite rate. Policy for single occupancy
business travelers scheduled for stays Sunday - Thursday is 5pm day of stay.
We serve
breakfast from 7 to 11 am in the
dining room, sun
room or in the privacy of the
suite (in the main house).
Breakfast is always served on bone china with sterling flatware, Waterford Crystal glasses and linen napkins. Visible in the pictures are some of Ruth's teacup and saucer collection and some of Larry's cranberry glass collection. Larry also has several antique clocks, including the two ogee clocks shown here.
