Our hotel 'Truida' a pleasant and personal atmosphere. From most of our rooms and our pavement, our guests have a splendid view over the sea, it's shipping traffic and the beach. You can even watch passing ships from your bed! Rooms situated at the opposite side of our hotel offer a view over the city. All 20 spacious rooms are fitted with a shower, toilet and colour television. Some rooms are fitted with a small kitchen. There is an elevator in our hotel and family rooms are available on request. To our regret, we can not allow any pets in our hotel. At walking distance from hotel Truida, you will find the city centre with many shops, restaurants and several cultural activities. INFORMATION VLISSINGEN. Vlissingen, a city at the seaside. The seafronts are our city's showpiece and our hotel 'Tuida' is situated right at this seafront. Pilot boats navigate between the shore and large ocean ships to drop off and pick up pilots. All this happens right in front of our hotel! There are many things to do in Vlissingen: you can for example climb the church tower, relax at the beach, a sidewalk caf or the sauna, visit the reptile zoo 'Iguana'. or maritime attraction '. ' with its pirates, underwater world, naval review, sharks, rays basin and...a watchtower. Another part of 'Het Arsenaal' is the family entertainment centre 'Carrousel', a wonderful all-weather accomodation where adults and kids can enjoy themselves thoroughly. For sportsloving guests Vlissigen has many possibilities as well: they can enjoy the many walking and biking tours and even skeeler tours or swimming in the sea or the indoor swimming pool. Other interesting trips can be made to the '. ' in Middelburg, the town of Veere or at the island Neeltje Jans. When you visit Vlissingen you will find out that te city and the surrounding area really suit all tastes.

Voor de komende zomermaanden staan er weer allerlei leuke en interessante evenementen op het programma. Deze spelen zich voornamelijk af in en bij het centrum van de staddus vlakbij het hotel, maar weer niet zo, dat u van het lawaai s avonds niet kunt slapen! KERMIS VLISSINGEN: binnenstad 18 t/m 27 juli. Op de zondagmorgen gelegenheid tot het maken van een Stadswandeling o.l.v. een gids door Vlissingen ( en langs het geboortehuis van Michiel de Ruyter!). Weekmarkten: elke vrijdag te Vlissingen en W.Kapelle, donderdag te Middelburg, dinsdag te Zoutelande.. Elke laatste zondag van de maand : koopzondag te Vlissingen. Elke eerste zondag van de maand; koopzondag te Middelburg. Excursies door het natuurgebied Rammekenshoek en het Fort Rammekens - Natuurwandelingen door het Nollebos, duinen en zeedijk, o.l.v. een natuurgids. gecombineerde (dag) tickets voor boot/bustocht naar Brugge e/o Knokke voor slechts 10,-- (65+: 6,00) pp.! For this year's summer months many interesting and entertaining events have been organised. These events will take place in or around the city centre. This means they will be close to the hotel, but not so close that the noise will bother our guests at night. a lot of new events in summer 2008;' a few are mentioned below: 31 May: Nationale Havendag; Haven Vlissingen. 31 May: Karolinger markt.. 7 June: Zeeuwse Zonneboot race. 4,14, 21,28 Juni : ringrijden in little villages on Walcheren. 2 t/m 6 july: Onderstroom: festival, culture and music. 18 t/m 27 July: Kermis in town |Vlissingen. Excursions through the nature conservation Rammekenshoek and the Fort Rammekens. Walks through the woods of the Nollebos, the dunes and over the sea wall with a professional guide. Hotel Truida will be easy to find if you follow these instructions: Take the A16 (E40) to Brugge, near Brugge you should take the exit N9. Near Strobrugge you take the N410 and near Draaibrug and Schoondijke you follow the N58 to Breskens. At Breskens, you can cross the Westerschelde by means of the ferry Breskens-Vlissingen. After leaving the ferry, you drive along the Veerhavenweg, at the traffic lights you turn left in the direction of the city centre. At this 'Sloeweg' you go straight on untill you can not go any further. Then you turn left and take the Burgemeester van Woelderenlaan. At the traffic lights you turn right and go up the 'boulevard'. After that you continue your way along the seafront untill you see hotel Truida.
