Summer Activities in North Idaho. When the summer weather heats up, so does the fishing, boating, swimming, mountain biking, along with many other outdoor activities. Even without snow, the fun continues at. Ride the ski lift up the mountain with your bike coming right behind you. Then cruise down the mountain trails and roads. Or just stroll around the mountain top and enjoy the view before riding back down again. At you can ride the 15 mile Route of the Hiawatha with 10 tunnels and 7 high trestles in the Bitterroot Mountains between Idaho and Montana.
