Location: our vacation rental apartment is up from Oberwesel on the romantic Rhine river in the famous wine country half way between Frankfurt and Koblenz. The holiday apartment is roughly one hour by car from Frankfurt Airport, and about 1/2 hour from Koblenz. The German hub of the discount airline Ryanair at Frankfurt Hahn is only 30 min. away. Rhine river cruise ships dock just down the hill in Oberwesel, and there are numerous good restaurants in the area - in case you don't want to utilize the completely furnished, large kitchen. There are over 20 castles nestled in the hills along the Middle Rhine Valley - a UNESCO World Heritage Site - where our apartment is located. The closest to us are Rheinfels Castle and Schoenburg Castle. The Marksburg, as well as Castle-Katz and Castle-Maus are close by and so is the famous Loreley Cliff. If you like to check it on a map, Oberwesel is next to the medieval town of Bacharach and to the south of St.Goar. Just a little further away upstream is the world famous town of Ruedesheim and Mainz, and Boppard and Koblenz are downstream to the north. In the summer this area is visited by many tourists on holiday from all over the world. There is always something going on, from big events to smaller festivals, to numerous to mention. Biggest attraction of them all is the Rhein in Flammen (Rhine in flames) which takes place in September. Our air conditioned holiday rental is equipped with a complete, large kitchen featuring a 4-burner electric stove, microwave, toaster, coffee machine, and Miele dishwasher, satellite television (English and German programming), unlimited WLAN Internet access, etc. And of course all furnishings, kitchen utensils, towels and bedding. A washer and dryer is available. The holiday apartment has approx. 75 sqm (850 sqft) of living space and is on the first floor. It sleeps a maximum of 4 persons. The master bedroom has a king size bed, and a second bedroom has a queen bed (1,4m wide). It has an open layout with a combination living-dining room plus kitchen. There is a 2-pc bathroom in the apartment with shower and sink, and a separate toilet containing a wc and another sink. Rental Rate for the apartment: The rental rate for the apartment is 38.00 per night for 2 persons, and 10.00 per extra person per night. Minimum rental period is 6 nights.
