These are testimonials submitted by our guests to be displayed randomly on the home page of our website. The guests were asked to keep the testimonial brief - less than 60 words. For lengthier testimonials visit. Warm, pleasant, hosts full of humor make you feel like you're home. Gourmet
breakfasts cooked to perfection make rising easier. The large
rooms provided anything one could desire. The surrounding
gardens and trees are pleasant. Evenings spent in laughter and good conversation along with a loving dog completed a perfect day. We plan to return! - Gene Trisha, GA, May 2007. We enjoyed everything about our stay at Sunset View. It was our first experience staying at a BB and couldn't have been better. We would recommend them to anyone. The location, environment, friendly atmosphere all made it a great experience. - Joyce Harvey, ON, September 2007. When we booked this BB we had no idea that the owners would be so hospitable and made our visit like being at home. Better in fact, we didn't do dishes. Their organization of local information and maps, friendliness, and overall genuine being nice went along with the comfortable
rooms and excellent
breakfasts. - Jim Cheryl, NB, June 2007. Sunset View BB was wonderful! Our hosts couldn't have been more welcoming, helpful, friendly (it is hard to think of enough adjectives). And
breakfast (hot cereal with vanilla frozen yogurt!) --was fabulous! - Teddi Joel, PA, July 2007. Fraser and Elaine were superlative hosts who made us feel like friends rather than guests. Everything provided was first class and well beyond their rating. They were without a doubt our best and favourite hosts during our 3 weeks travelling throughout Newfoundland. - Brian Sharon, AB, Aug 2007. Sunset View offered us
quiet surroundings, convenience to St. John's, the
airport, and a number of day
trips in and around the Avalon. Fraser Elaine are exceptional hosts, providing good information and communication, lovely
rooms, fabulous
breakfasts, and warm friendship. We wouldn't hesitate to visit again! - Jan Bruce, ON, Aug 2007. Our
room was spacious and comfortable and the
breakfast was generous and delicious. We especially enjoyed the evening social gathering in the
living room. Yummy homemade baked goods were served and we got to visit with the hosts and other guests. Great sunset view! This was a convenient place to stay when visiting St. John's. - Bob Kerry, CT, July 2007. We traveled 7000 miles into Canada from Virginia and stayed at quite a few bed
breakfasts. Sunset View was - by far- the best. We felt like we were family from the moment we arrived till our departure. Wish we could have stayed longer. - Jim Margie, VA, Sept 2007

We are your hosts, Fraser and Elaine Inkpen. Since we are both retired and have ample
room in our home, we decided to open a BB. Both of us like
meeting people and making them feel at home, whether they are tourists or
business travelers. This is our mature, ten-year old golden retriever, Mindy. She is quite affectionate and thrives on attention. As our family pet, she spends most of her time in the house, except when we take her for a walk in the park or a drive in the car, both of which she loves.
A lovely home with comfortable, immaculate
rooms. Delightful and knowledgeable hosts welcome guests with graciousness and true hospitality. They provide extensive information, maps, and directions to a wide range of attractions. Excellent
breakfasts and delicious snacks at an evening social hour where guests gather to discuss their day's adventures. Staying here was a highlight of our
trip. - Nancy Melanie, IL WI, July 2007
