quiet, restful stop for the night. Situated on a main road, it is just a short drive away from many local tourist attractions. Enjoy the summer breezes on the many porches surrounding the house. In the winter, put your feet up and get cozy by the fireplace in the
living room or
dining room. Are you a piano player? Feel free to entertain us on the piano in the
living room. French speaking guests will be pleased to know that your host, Julie is bilingual. Relax in the backyard by the pond and watch the trickling water fountain and goldfish. Stroll around the large yard and experience the scents of the herb
gardens and perennial flower and vegetable beds. Feeling energetic? Take a walk to the back of the farm and explore the 25 acre bush. The property is situated on the Lambton County Trail System and hiking and cycling are conveniently right outside the front door. Maps are available upon request. Theres nothing more entertaining than to watch lambs as they jump and frolic around. Our farm boasts a large pasture and a 50 ewe Flock of sheep. Depending on the time of year, you could experience lambing (newborns) and bottle feeding in late winter/early spring or shearing in the fall. Other farm activities you could participate in include hay baling and stacking during the summer. If you're a stargazer, a rural setting is the best place to view the night sky, or you could also enjoy an evening bonfire. Julie and Perry have farmed all their lives in southwestern Ontario and they would be pleased to have you experience country life and participate in shepherding chores as well as discuss food and farming issues. When time permits, Perry enjoys working in his large organic
garden, and Julie maintains several perennial and herb
gardens around the yard. The rates for our
rooms include a delicious full
breakfast, complete with hot entre, breads, cereal, fruit, etc. If a smaller meal is required, please discuss your needs with your host at booking. The rustic cabin feel of our large, spacious
guest room offers a comfortable double bed, plus a sofa bed or cot for additional guest. A large
desk for
business and
phone/e-mail hook-up are features appealing to the
business traveler. Included in this
room you will find a clock
radio and
television/DVD Player for your pleasure and a large
closet for storage. This cozy
room is also paneled in knotty pine and a comfortable double bed,
desk, clock
radio and
closet are features provided.
The following rates are for Friday to Sunday bookings. Additional Guests can be accommodated in the large
room on the sofa bed or available cot. Fees are $10 per adult and $5 per child under 15. Special Diets can be accommodated when notified in advance. Please provide details when making reservations and we will do our best. Special rates available through the week - Monday to Thursday. Ask about our Seniors Specials and Weekend or Weekly price breaks! Pets: As much as we like animals, pets are not permitted. Our own friendly dog, Gabby, is restricted to the basement/utility
room or out of doors. Also, we have many barn cats that roam the farm. Smoking: Not permitted in the house. Ashtrays provided outside. No smoking in or near the barns. Upon request and if time allows, access to

From Sarnia or the Bluewater Bridge (20 to 30 minutes southwest). Take Highway 402 or London Road east to Mandaumin Highway (#26, Exit 15) and turn right (south). Travel south to Shiloh Line and turn left (east). We are the second farmhouse on the right. From Petrolia (10 minutes north). Head west out of town on Petrolia Line. Travel to Mandaumin Highway (#26) and turn left (south). Head south to Shiloh Line and turn left (east). From Brigden (10 minutes south). Head east out of town on Courtright Line (Highway 80). Travel to Mandaumin Highway (#26) and turn left (north). Head north to Shiloh Line, turn right (east). From London (1 hour away) or Highway 401.
