Welcome to The Black Bull Inn, a traditional cottage style inn which is located in the idyllic village of Escrick, and is situated five minutes south of York, just off the A19. The elegant traditional furnishings and blazing log fire reflect the warmth and friendly atmosphere of this peaceful village setting. We are an ideal alternative place to stay than a City hotel, as we are only a short drive from the historic City of York just off the A19 towards Selby. The 27 boxes spread over three floors are usually used as Annual Rentals however, the Race Committee have decided to retain some for daily usage. Every box has its own balcony and comes fully furnished including York Raceday Television. On each floor there are exclusive totesport betting points and toilets. From the North From the A1 take the A59 towards York and then take the York ring road (A1237) follow signs to Selby. Continue along Main Street where the Black Bull is situated on the left. From the South From the M62 take the junction 34 following A19 signs to Selby. Drive through Selby town centre and take the A19 to York. After approximately 5 miles you will approach Escrick Village. Take the first turning on the right onto Carr Lane. Main Street is the next turning on the right. The Black Bull is situated on the left. By Train or Bus By train to York railway station and take the bus number 415 to Selby, the bus will stop in Escrick Village this service runs approximately every 20 minutes.
