Restaurant and Bar At the Alem Regency Apart Hotel we try to keep up with the tradition. That is why we offer mainly home-made-style Turkish Food, but also our Spaghetti variations and Lasagna are worth trying. For our on self catering staying Apartment guests, which like to use our restaurant spontaneously we are open from 08:00 h through 22:00 h. For the hotel guests with included meals the breakfast is served between 08:00 and 10:00 h and the diner from 19:00 or 19:30 until 21:00 or 21:30 according to season. Turkish Cuisine Turkeys world famous cuisine is a source of interest and delight and most visitors to Turkey try to taste as many different dishes as possible. The main reason for the wealth of Turkish cuisine is undoubtedly the Ottoman Empire, which expanded to encompass vast ethnically diverse areas. This multiculturalism greatly influenced the Turkish cuisine. Modern Turkish cuisine differs greatly from region to region. As is the case in all Mediterranean countries, olive oil plays a major part, together with other basic ingredients. The importance of bread is apparent. Instead of pasta or potatoes many dishes are accompanied with bread. One reason for this is also the sacred significance attributed to bread in the Islamic faith, bread falling accidentally to he floor would instantly be retrieved by a Turk. A favorite food is Borek, thin flat layers of dough stuffed with different fittings. Another bread-like dish is Gozleme, a thin flat round piece of dough with topping and baked on the Sac, a typical thin pan. The traditional alcoholic drink is Raki, which is made of aniseed. Turkish people love desserts and there is a rich variety of Turkish desserts and sweets. World famous of them is the Turkish Delight, which was first prepared to entertain the harem of Sultan Abdulhamid. To give you an idea of the Antalya food we are providing below a recipe from the cooking book. Shakshuka Ingredients (serves 6) 3 Kemer aubergines, 3 potatoes, 6 long green peppers, 4 tomatoes (grated), 2 cloves garlic (crushed), 1 tbs vinegar, 200ml oil for frying (preferably olive oil), ½ bunch parsley, 1 tsp salt Method Frying the vegetables 1. Peel the aubergines in alternate stripes. Dice the aubergine into 1 cm cubes. Soak in plenty of salted water for 30 minutes. 2. Wash and dice the potatoes and long green peppers, like the aubergines. 3. Heat a large frying pan and add the oil. 4. First fry the potatoes in batches, turning constantly. Drain the potatoes from the oil. Set aside. 5. Then fry the peppers in hot oil. Drain and add to the potatoes. 6. Drain and wipe the aubergines dry. Fry the dices aubergines, drain from the oil and add to the potatoes. Preparing the sauce 1. Place the grated tomatoes and crushed garlic in a saucepan. Stir on a medium heat until the liquid released from the tomatoes has reduced. Add the salt and vinegar and stir. 2. Add the fried vegetables to the tomatoes along with up to 75ml water. Allow to boil for a short while then turn off the heat. Leave to cool. 3. Transfer to an oval serving dish. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve. ACCOMMODATION At the Alem Regency Apart Hotel we try to provide a friendly-Mediterranean atmosphere and a home-away-from-home flair with which we hope to make our Hotel a little different from other accommodations. About 120 units are located in two 6-floor buildings. ANREISE BESCHREIBUNG Mit dem Flugzeug - Anfahrt ab Antalya Flughafen: Folgen Sie der Ausschilderung Richtung Antalya und Kemer. Im Zentrum von Antalya ist Konyaalt Beach dann mit braunen Schildern ausgeschildert. Alem Regency liegt etwa in der Mitte des rund 8 km langen Konyaalt Strandes, der sich zwischen dem ursprunglichen Stadtkern von Antalya im Osten und dem westlich gelegenen Hafen mit der angrenzenden Marina erstreckt.
