Merida's International Airport, Manuel Crescencio Rejon International Airport (MID), is 20 minutes drive from the BB. There are international and national flights daily. fly to Merida. A taxi stand is located just outside of the arrival area. Fares are regulated quite reasonable. Cancun's International Airport. (CUN), is 4 hours drive by car or Express bus service from the BB. Many airlines charter flights are available to Cancun. A Collectivo taxi stand is at the Cancun airport to the bus station Centro Cancun. Bus Lines operate First Class service throughout the Yucatan Peninsula Mexico. Fares are reasonable. The buses are very comfortable of an excellent standard. Taxis are available in front of the bus stations. The roads are excellent in the Yucatan Peninsula. Most major car rental companies operate here. Many businesses can not accept credit cards, including Pemex gas stations. Be sure to have some cash on hand while visiting the small towns villages. Yucatan is considered the safest state in Mexico, people are friendly, kind helpful.
