Kings Lynn and West Norfolk Kings Lynn itself is one of the most accessible of Norfolk Towns; an ancient Port on the Great Ouse with a splendid historic townscape. The town itself is brimful of interest, whilst Sandringham, (The Queens Norfolk Residence), Burnham Thorpe, (Admiral Nelsons Birthplace), the fine Beaches of Hunstanton and the natural bird and wildlife of North Norfolk are only a short drive away. Activities do not all revolve around the outdoors. There are regular live jazz sessions in the
bar and specialist evenings of entertainment such as gourmet and murder mystery
dinners which are offered throughout the year. Also theme and workshop weekends providing anything from cordon bleu cookery, (hosted by our very own resident chef), to antique collecting. A separate leaflet is available.

An Oasis, hidden in the very
centre of this small Medieval Town and Historic Port of Kings Lynn. The original building dates back to Victorian times when it was the private residence of a prominent Kings Lynn
businessman. It is ideally situated and it would be hard to find a more pleasant place to stay since it is
quiet and restful in its own grounds but yet very central. The hotel was purchased by David Armes the proprietor, in late 1995 and a great deal of refurbishment has taken place in recent years. The individually styled
bedrooms are comfortable and well equipped, with the honeymoon
suite boasting a romantic four poster bed and
jacuzzi bath! All
18 rooms are en-
suite and have:-
Tea and
coffee making facilities.
Hair dryer and
Telephone. Downstairs there are two pleasant reception areas, a popular
bar with a cosy open fire, (listed in the Camra Good beer guide) and the Stuart
Restaurant where the emphasis is on superb quality and good value. There are two
gardens, one on either side of the building. The West facing
garden is for residents only while that on the East side adjoining the car park is used as a small beer
garden. The
Restaurant and adjoining
meeting room are available for
wedding receptions,
conferences,
meetings or private functions. A separate information pack is available. Approaching Kings Lynn from West and South, follow the signs for the town
centre and pass through Southgate Archway, take immediate fork right off main road, for 150 yards, at the Lord Napier Public House on your right hand side, fork right again for 75 yards, arriving at a T-junction. You will then see the signs and driveway to the hotel straight ahead.
