Flag Varna is the only hostel on the pedestrianised walkway in Varna. We are also the most central hostel and near the beach. We are No 1 Hostel on Yahoo Google. Flag is the oldest Hostel in Bulgaria. It was started by Australian businessman Roy in 2004. Rumour has it that the original Flag building was swapped for a yacht. However, like everything-else in Bulgaria it's difficult to get straight answers on anything - so we are unable to confirm this. Roy has now retired. Mike ran the Flag last year but has also now retired. Flag is now under new management and we have added a few new additions. Flag Varna Hostel is situated on a pedestrianised street, in the very heart of Varna. We are still the same Flag Varna but in a far better location. The interior has been recently upgraded and a few beds removed for more comfort. The Main Square, Fountain and Opera house are simply around the corner as are all the shops and restaurants. We still have the same friendly atmosphere and staff, but now Varna is literally right on your doorstep. Modern hot showers and bathrooms, kitchen facilities and everything you would expect from a Hostel. Flag Varna is the perfect place to stay. Only 7 minutes walk from the beach, clubs and bars! No Lock outs, no curfews and a reception for any questions you may have.

We are located on the pedestrianised centre of the wonderful seaside city of Varna. The jewel of the Bulgarian Black Sea. Numerous shops, cafes, restaurants and clubs right on the door step.
