REGIONAL INFORMATION. The department Aveyron identifies itself through a large variety of natural beauty. One moment a charming green hillside scenery, the next moment a rugged upland plain. Sheer cliffs, jagged limestone formations alternate with broad-leaved forests. The countryside is intersected by innumerable rivers, among which the Aveyron, the Tarn and the Lot. The Aveyron is a tourist attraction but there is no mass tourism. In the immediate vicinity of Domaine de Lapaloup are countless possibilities for those seeking peace and quiet, the active holiday-maker and for those in search of cultural influences. We take pleasure in advising our guests when choosing an activity or an excursion. Our seventeenth century farmhouse is situated on the borders of the Tarn and Aveyron in Roquefort country, half way between Millau and Albi. Peacefulness, spaciousness and beautiful countryside in a sunny climate. Enjoy our view and our hospitality. Walking, canoeing, climbing, paragliding, golfing (several 18 hole golf courses in the vicinity), provide plenty of possibilites for not only those seeking peace and quiet, but also for the active holiday-maker. We offer a warm welcome when you stay in one of our guestrooms, all rooms have their own shower, washbasin and toilet.

June 2006 we have opened our mini-campsite. It is beautifully situated on some terraces next to our farmhouse, you will find 6 spacious places, all equipped with electricity. Here you will find a friendly and easygoing atmosphere in the countryside. Good sanitary facilities are so important for a carefree holiday, our facilities were newly build during the spring of 2006. Please sit down in the sun or in the shade, enjoy your drink and exchange your holiday experiences with other guests. Let all the stress slip away while enjoying the spectacular views during the daytime and the endless starry sky at night. Relax and unwind like never before! A stay at Lapaloup will be a memorable holiday. On the grounds you will also find a fully equipped tent (4/5 persons. All you will have to bring with you are your bedding and towels. On request you can share the evening meal with us. We dont have a menu, but we serve a set meal consisting of a first course, a main course, cheese or a dessert, lovingly prepared by my wife, Monique. 1.50 equals £ 1.00 (roughly). July/August 28/6-31/8. June/September 1/6-28/6 en 1/9-28/9. Others 1/1-31/5 en 29/9-31/12. The evening meal costs 18.00 per person, for children up to 10 years the price is 7.50. We are obliged to collect a tourist tax for adults and for children older than 13 years of 0.20 a head per night.
