We had a wonderful time just relaxing at the beach everyday. The dogs had an excellent time playing on the beach. We took them at least twice a day! Our boxer would not stop playing. The rest of the day they just slept. I think they are kinda bored being at home. A lot of people thought we were crazy to take our dogs on vacation but we met many vacationers who love their dogs just as much as we do! We all thought it was funny to pick a vacation spot just because of your dog. We went to the pool a couple of times and the guys fished off the shore while the girls just laid out. The baby wasn't sure about the water, but he loved just playing on the beach. Se had a seafood night the last night we were there, even though the guys didn't catch anything but catfish --HAHA! We had everything we need and the condo was perfect. We did not want to leave!! We decided, even before we left, that we were going to plan another trip for next year. Thank you so much for everything you have done for us. We couldn't have asked for anymore. Jan Masica, Dexter, MI, April 19-May 3, 2008. We are on our way home to Michigan and already panning for next year's trip to the Cape. We had 2 BEAUTIFUL weeks at Turtle Crawl! The weather was wonderful, sun every day with temps in the 70's and 80's. Because of our hectic lives at home, we really enjoyed our simple daily routine of running the dogs on the beach followed by hours of lounging around or waling the beach. The dogs absolutely loved their stay too, and they are thoroughly exhausted! Thank you Wendy for providing everything that you do at Turtle Crawl. We love the fact that we can walk right in and feel at home immediately. We can't say enough about Cape San Blas and Turtle Crawl. Diana Smith, Louisville, KY, April 2008. We just got back from spending an absolutely wonderful time at Barrier Dunes (Turtle Crawl - Unit 191)! This is one of the nicest places we have ever stayed! The rental is gorgeous and it had everything we ever needed!!! I spent most of my days reading and relaxing on the deck. I injured my leg right before we left for this vacation and was able to go to the beach but that was okay because I was able to see it and hear it from Barrier Dunes 191~ Thank Goodness! I enjoyed the Cape so much that I would like to bring my daughter and 2 lovely granddaughters down in July. Look forward to visiting the Cape again soon!! Thank you so much!! Patty Rund, March 2008 (repeat guest). We had a great time a gain at the Cape -- fantastic weather (70's and sunshine) and super low-key relaxing time. Condo was great - nice to be so close to the beach! Devon Rudloff, March 2008. Boo and I enjoyed our stay there and we will be back again! Thank you again for everything. You guys are great. I'll be sending other dog lovers your way for their vacation RR spot! Take care! Tim Tehan, January 2008. Thanks for a great week at your lovely beach hou...

St. Joseph Bay Country Club. (850) 227-1751 700 Country Club Rd., Port Saint Joe, Florida. St. Joseph's Bay Country Club is a pristine 18-hole championship golf course located along beautiful St.Joseph's Bay off County Road C-30. Mature trees, lush fairways, sloping greens, and strategically placed hazards highlight this traditional layout. Enjoy everything St. Joseph's Bay Country Club has to offer - a quality golf facility and a whole lot more. Visitors welcome! St. James Bay Country Club 850-697-9606. 160 Laughing Gull Lane, Carrabelle, Florida. 18-hole, resort-style course designed by Robert Walker. Wildwood Country Club. 850-926-4653. 3870 Coastal Hwy. Crawfordville, FL. Approximately 20 miles south of Tallahassee on Highway 98. The attraction here is the swiftly moving rounds and the courses relatively low resistance to scoring. Director of Golf David Hoover says, Weve got a reputation for playability and conditioning. When I say playability, I mean that high handicappers always seem to score well out here, and our course is always in good condition. Wildwood, opened in 1995, is a broad, natural course that treds lightly through lowlands just miles from the Gulf of Mexico. Its quiet and scenic (perhaps only a dozen homes populate the course), and there is a simple, refreshing joy to playing this layout that measures just 6,500 yards from the tips. Golfers from Tallahassee come here to get away from the hustle and bustle and five hour rounds, Hoover says. For some reason, even when were extremely busy, players get around our course in four hours. Were definitely at the top of the market because were out in the middle of nowhere and were always busy. Panama City Area Golf: 4701 Bay Point Road, Panama City, FL 850-235-6950. Two of America's great golf courses. The Lagoon Legend is golf in the extreme! Its 152 USGA slope rating says it all... no course in the continental United States offers more of a challenge. The Club Meadows is the epitome of country club golf... a course you can play day in and day out without even a touch of boredom. Together the Legend and the Club Meadows make Bay Point one of America's most popular golf destinations. Camp Creek Golf Club. 684 Fazio Drive, Panama City Beach, FL. 850 231-2019. A Tom Fazio-designed course just off Scenic Highway 30-A west of Panama City Beach, Fla. The course, which opened in 2001, has been ranked among the top 10 public courses in Florida by Golfweek magazine. Camp Creek is a par-72 that measures 7,151 yards and is accentuated by wetlands, woodlands, lakes, sand dunes and rolling contours. Camp Creek was recently ranked by GolfWeek as the 8th best daily fee play course in Florida. Located just off of Highway 30A, west of Panama City Beach, Camp Creek Golf Club is a Tom Fazio-designed course that opened in 1990. The holes are superbly routed through sandy waste areas and around lakes that affect play on twelve holes. Memorable holes include the 520-yard 12th and the 450-yard 18th, both featuring scenic vistas and supreme challenge, where staying close to the water (all the way down the left on #12, right on #18) creates the best angle for reaching the tucked pin positions. Best new course in the Panhandle, hands down! Target golf in the extreme. A Fazio masterpiece. Don't stray from fairway. Take your A game and enjoy.--Chip C. 12/27/03. 100 Fairway Blvd., Panama City Beach, FL. 850-234 -1800. The Holiday Golf Club is located only one mile off the beach, it is a semi-private, 18-hole par 72 Championship, 6600 yard course, featuring 18 newly constructed Tif Dwarf greens. The Greens were redesigned in late 1997 to challenge even the most experienced short game artist. 120 Coyote Pass, Panama City Beach, FL. 850-234 -3673. Hombre Golf Club in Panama City Beach, Florida is one of the Premier Championship Golf Resorts in the Sunshine State. Hombre is host to the PGA Tour Qualifying School. The Wes Burnham designed course features water on 15 of the 18 original holes and has added 9 holes with less water but wetland areas that you have to cross on 3 tee shots. The new nine holes called the Good have been added to the original holes the Bad and the Ugly. Hombre Golf Club has four sets of tees, a Players Journal top 2 in the country golf school, complete practice facility. Signal Hill Golf Course. 9615 N Thomas Drive, Panama City Beach, FL. 850-234-5051. 18 holes with breathtaking scenery mixed with challenging greens and precise fairways! Don Veller Seminole Golf Club. 2550 Pottsdamer Road, Tallahasse, FL. 850-644-2583. Noted for its convenient location south of the Capital and Florida States campus and friendly green fees ($10-$32), Seminole has been serving the public since 1962. By all accounts this used to be a good ol boy course where the locals ran the show, but a recent $7 million upgrade has sprung the course into the 21st century. Weve taken it from a dog track to a course that can rival Golden Eagle (Tallahassees premier private course), Head Pro Steve Soriano says. As one expects from a Bill Amick-designed course, Seminole is fairly open with no trickery and modest hazards. It certainly serves as a welcoming venue for all levels of player. Its also home to the Florida State golf teams (until this fall). Though the collegiate players tend to think it plays too easy, Soriano says, Ive yet to see any of them shoot a really low score. Hilaman Park Golf Club. 2737 Blair Stone Road, Tallahassee, FL. 850-891-3935. A municipal track located in the southeast section of town. Hilaman opened in 1971 and offers some fairly interesting and sloping terrain to play over, along with a familiar muni atmosphere. Designed by Larry Zimmerman, the course is a traditional set-up with holes bordered by trees, large greens and mild bunkering. Mature and simple, Hilaman rates as a good value to walk ($15), while g Hilaman Municipal Golf Course was designed in 1971 by Lawrence Hughes. The course was formerly known as Winewood Country Club until the golf course was purchased by the City of Tallahassee in 1981. The course is tightly routed over moderately hilly terrain, especially on the back nine, with plenty of room off the tee and improved playing conditions throughout. The Players Club at Summerbrooke. 7505 Preservation Rd Tallahassee, FL. 850-894-4653. Designed in 1988 by Dean Refram, this course is tight and hilly with some of the most advantageous golf terrain in the county. Though not long at just over 6,800 yards from the championship markers, its one of the more difficult courses in the Tallahassee region to post a score. Summerbrooke qualifies as a great value with green fees usually ranging from $25-$35. 3750 Grove Park Dr., Tallahassee, FL. 850-513-3001. A semiprivate course, was recently selected as a home of the Florida State University Men's and Women's Golf Teams, always ranked as a NCAA perennial powerhouse. The course is designed for professional tournament play as well as a teaching course comfortable for family play. Each hole features five sets of tees - from the 7,172 yard Boom Boom tees (a Couples signature) to the Wee tees set for children at 2,968 yards. The course offers exciting golf in a spectacular setting. In addition, the Wee tees also present a unique opportunity for a par 3 format on 17 of 18holes, giving all golfers a chance to focus on their ever-important short game! Hilaman Municipal Golf Course. 2737 BlairStone Road, Tallahassee, FL. 850 891-3935. Hilaman Municipal Golf Course was designed in 1971 by Lawrence Hughes. The course was formerly known as Winewood Country Club until the golf course was purchased by the City of Tallahassee in 1981. The course is tightly routed over moderately hilly terrain, especially on the back nine, with plenty of room off the tee and improved playing conditions throughout.
