Zamardi is one of the most popular holiday resorts along the shores of Lake Balaton and the biggest lake in Central-Europe. Our settlement can be found on the southern shore of Lake Balaton, between Siofok and Balatonfoldvar. It is easily accessible both on road and by rail. It has a 10-kilometre-long lakeside area, which is unique among the holiday resorts around the lake. Hotel Familia is situated in Zamardi, 300 m away from the shore, at the foot of the hills of Somogy, near motorway M7, along main road no. 70, 7 km from Siofok.

Hotel Familia was built in 1991, is situated 300 m from Lake Balaton and was opened by dr. Otto Habsburg on 6th May, 1991. An area measuring 600 m2, with deck-beds, a pond and a car park with enough space for 45 cars and 4 coaches also belongs to the hotel. The hotel has 49 double rooms (some of which can be equipped with extra beds) and 3 suites. Total capacity: 130 people. Each room has a separate bathroom, a television set, a mini bar, a telephone. The restaurant can seat 75 + 35 people. The terrace belonging to the restaurant can seat about 60 people. Our indoor swimming-pool is 27 m long, 4,5 m wide, the temperature of the water is 28 oC constantly and a sauna also belongs to it. The drink bar of our hotel is suitable for organizing discos and birthday parties. Conference halls (for 30 - 60 - 100 people).
