MAGNOLIA COTTAGE This newly renovated cottage is just moments from the beach!!! Fun and relaxation are both on your agenda when you are here. On the property is a place to safely park your boat. All the comforts of home are provided for your enjoyment including linen, dishes, new appliances and even a dishwasher and disposal. There is a TV, DVD video recorder along with a large selection of movies for all ages to enjoy and relax with. Also a stereo, games, books and other amusements are provided. Outside is a BBQ grill for your favorite steak or burgers. Or you can sit outside and enjoy the coastal breeze. Click on photo for larger view. This cottage has 3 bedrooms, 1 baths and is great for a mini family reunion. It can sleep up to 10 people with a King Size Bed, 2 Double Beds and 4 Single beds. There is a washer and dryer provided for your convenience. Although not legally handicapped accessible, the cottage is located at ground level and guests in wheel chairs have stayed there in the past. This roomy house is also great for that getaway retreat from the stresses of everyday life. GARDENIA COTTAGE Located about 5 blocks from the beach, Gardenia is the sister cottage to bigger Magnolia Cottage next door. It has been completely renovated and opened in the Summer 2006. With both houses together, it makes a fun place for a mini-family reunion. Gardenia easily sleeps 6 people and can stretch to 8. There is a newly renovated bathroom with a shower/tub combination as well as a washer/dryer for your use. Two bedrooms and an enclosed sun porch provide lots of room for sleeping with one queen size bed and 6 single beds. All dishes, linen, towels, pots pans, TV, DVD/VHS player, (about 60 free VCR movies), books, magazines, appliances, BBQ, and stereo system are there for your enjoyment. There is ample secure parking for your boat and vehicles in the driveway and in the fenced yard. Also, a hose to wash off your boat after enjoying Matagorda Bay. EAGLE'S NEST Sit on the second deck (Eagle's Nest) and watch the sunrise on the bay or in the evening sip your favorite drink while watching the sunset to the west. Eagle's Nest, located 3 blocks from the beach, is a peaceful and serene place to spend a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of city life or for a romantic getaway weekend. Perched high on stilts, Eagle's Nest has ample decks for entertaining and enjoying the ocean breeze. Uniquely Octagonal in shape, Eagle's Nest reminds one of being in a lighthouse. Eagle's Nest provides an open interior with 2 private bedrooms, each with a queen size bed, and one bath. The beach house has a day bed in the living area with trundle and a small roll away bed for youngsters, sleeping a total of seven. A washer/dryer is provided for our guest as well as linens, a full kitchen with cooking and eating utensils, plates, coffee pot and microwave. Downstairs there is covered parking for two vehicles and room to park your boat. There is a yard with a tire swing for the children to play on and a BBQ grill for outdoor cooking. We had a fabulous time! What a perfect house for families with children. Our 4 boys ages 2-10 had the best time.
