Welcome to the Hotel Roc de Sant Miquel in Soldeu. Set in the heart of the Pyrenees Mountains in the Principality of Andorra, we offer the best value for your stay in a warm and friendly family run establishment. Open all year round for the snow sports in the winter and outdoor adventures in summer. We also have a top class, luxury apartment available for weekly rental. We are located very conveniently 800 metres from the main gondola station in Soldeu giving access to the largest skiing area in Andorra, and a bus stop right at the end of the hotels' drive way connects you to all destinations in the principality and major destinations in France and Spain. Nick and Nuria have been running the Hotel Roc de St Miquel since 2001. Nick is from the UK but has lived in Andorra since 1992 and Nuria is from Barcelona. They have both been ski instructors for many years in Soldeu and mountain guides in summer.
The Hotel Roc has a total of 12 rooms with a range of singles, doubles, twins and family rooms. We currently have a One Star rating but presently upgrading to a Two Star rating. We offer clean and comfortable rooms at the best possible price. All rooms have en-suite facilities, fresh linen, a daily maid service, telephone, television and tea & coffee making facilities. We enjoy our small family run service and hope to welcome you soon.
There is a bar on the ground floor of Hotel Roc de Sant Miquel open to all serving a wide variety of beers, wines and spirits. Open 6pm-12am. We have Sky TV for sports events, game console for the kids, Internet, darts and other games. Once a week the Roc band plays for your entertainment. Hotel Roc de Sant Miquel also has a high quality restaurant serving a daily changing menu and an appetizing a la carte menu.
The Hotel Roc de Sant Miquel is only a 10 minute walk from the main gondola (cable car) station in Soldeu giving you access to Andorra's largest winter sport mountain slopes. The range of pistes are excellent for all levels of skiers, snowboarders and other mountain sports. In the summer from Hotel Roc de St Miquel we run an excursion company called High Trax. Through this we offer fun and interesting excursions in and around Andorra. We only use young and polite guides with many years of experience with working with groups. As well as these excursions the hotel has a range of mountain bikes, a sun terrace and a BBQ area. We are just 200m from the pony trekking stables and just 500m from the telecabina lift to take you to the top of the Soldeu mountain where there are a wide range of activities on offer.
Andorra is in some of the highest parts of the Pyrenees bordering France and Spain. It is an independent tax free country about the size of the Isle of White. Mountains reach heights of nearly 3000m (10,000ft) with most of the skiing over 2000m. It is famous for its snow sports, mountain hiking, and tax free shopping. The official language is Catalan, however, due to tourism and tax free status many other languages are widely spoken, including French, Spanish, and English. Visitors from around the world are always made welcome and often remark about the something 'special' in Andorra.
