Our hostel's name 'Home-Made' reflects one of our main principles, the re-use of classic furniture and equipment that used to be part of authentic Hungarian homes. If you come to stay at our hostel, you will find redesigned objects with a different function that may surprise the traveller. Our guests sleep in individually designed beds and lofts, sit and lie on nicely and creatively renovated old furniture, read books by hand-made lamps or use sold suitcases as shelves. The traveller can feel the warm, peaceful, cosy and the friendly atmosphere of a home at the hostel. 'Home-Made' is an ideal place for rest during a long and tiring journey. Yet, the hostel is continuously on the move as it permanently keeps changing its character, and you can also contribute to this by bringing along a smart redesign idea which can come into reality. We are real globetrotters in our late 20s and early 30s. We have travelled the width and length of the world, had good times and bad times too during our travels. We slept rough in New York and big cities of Europe, watched the sunset in the Egyptian desert, walked the narrow streets of Amsterdam and climbed the mountains of the Rocky Mountains in the U.S. We know what it feels like sleeping next to a snoring person on the train and standing for hours on the road in the rain waiting for a lift and then finish the day in a comfortable bed. We picked the languages we speak during our travelling: English, French, Polish and would not feel uncomfortable to make ourselves understood in Spanish and Portuguese. The hostel is located in a breath-taking historical building in one of the most central areas of the city at the one and only eight-angle square of the city called Oktogon, which is a world heritage recognized site.

We offer a beautiful, home-designed, colorful double-room with a TV set. The room has a comfortable double bed, which can sleep two people. The room can also be booked by small groups of 3 because there is an extra single bed on the loft. If the room is booked for 3, we charge an additional 25% of the original price per night. To book this room for three, just enter two people when you make your reservation and then write to us there will be three people sleeping in the room. Mineral water or orange juice, snacks and fresh fruits are included in the price. The yellow room is an 8-bed dorm in a beautiful, individually designed loft. There is a TV set and DVD player in the dorm. WE RECOMMEND OUR 8-BED DORM FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE LESS BOTHERED BY TALK. The room is less suitable to book as a private room. The brown room is a 4-bed room like a private room for small groups, but individuals can also take this peaceful, quite and big room. Book here and get loads of surprise. It opens from the 8-bed room. The green room is a 6-bed relaxed, huge room with heaps of space with a separate entrance. All the rooms are equipped with furniture designed and redesigned by our staff!

The common room has ancient style mixed with new, home-made design. This is an excellent place for chats, to play home-made board games, listen to music, surf the Internet.
