Maaiken Steens welcomes you at 't Nieuw Lijsternest. This is a typical Bruges style cosy villa in a very quiet environment. It is situated near a forest (Tervuren) and a shopping center, 8 km east of Brussels centre, 6 km from the airport Zaventem, 4 km from U.C.L. (University Hospital), 2 km from Ring-O of Brussels. Bus connection to Brussels metro (line 1B Stockel). Bus 410 Leuven-Bruxelles and bus 830 Zaventem-Groenendaal have a bus stop at 'Stijn Streuvels' av.Astridlaan. 't Nieuw Lijsternest has two comfortable guest rooms. Room 1: Nice and cosy double bedroom with TV, WI-FI internet and equipped kitchenette. Room 2: Spacious and romantically furnished room, with separate equipped kitchen, TV, several single beds and Internet connection. The shower-room and toilet for guests are located on the first floor. Sauna is possible. The sheets and towels are included. Breakfast is served in the dining-room or at the terrace, but is optional. There are also 2 bikes available for guests. 't Nieuw Lijsternest offers bed and breakfast accommodation but it may also be rented as student rooms on short-term basis.
ARRIVING BY CAR: (1) Coming by E 40 Germany: Take exit N° 21 ‘Sterrebeek/Wezembeek-Oppem/Nossegem’. Turn left in to the direction of Sterrebeek : the main road, the N227, Mechelse steenweg. After 3 km, on the junction with av.Astridlaan, turn left for 250 m. Take the drive in on the right side between houses n° 19 and 21. (2) Coming by E 40 Oostende or by E 19 Antwerpen. Follow the Brussels RING O (direction Zaventem airport). Take the Ring Exit ‘TERVUREN’, after 40 m turn back on the left and take the big turn on the right : the N227, Mechelse steenweg. After 3 km, at the traffic lights, turn right for 250 m. Take the drive in on the right side between houses n° 19 and 21. (3) Coming by E 411 France/Luxemburg. Take Brussels RING O direction Antwerpen/Gent. Don’t drive into the tunnel, stay on the right and cross the double junction.After 50 m take the big turn to the right on to the N227, Mechelse steenweg. After 3 km, at the traffic lights, turn right for 250 m. Take the drive in on the right side between houses n° 19 and 21.

You can also go all the way to the last stop but one, Kraainem and take the bus N° 76 until bus stop ‘Stijn Streuvels’ av.Astridl. (2) Via Brussels North Station: take the Expressbus Brussel-Leuven N° 410 ‘DE LIJN’ until busstop ‘Stijn Streuvels’av.Astridlaan Wezembeek-Oppem.
