Penzion Pod Lipo is perfectly positioned in a quiet area in the center of Ljubljana. It takes you only 10 to 15 minutes to reach the Town Hall and the Three Bridges. The house has a very old lime tree, growing in its backyard. The tree was planted somewhere around 1626 and this lovely guest house is named after it. If translated "Penzion Pod Lipo" means Under the Lime Tree. The house is old as well - more than 200 years of age, however, the first floor has been recently renovated. Penzion Pod Lipo has mainly double rooms with private bathrooms and triple rooms with en-suite bathrooms, internet connection and heating. We can provide an additional bed in every room, so we can accommodate 4 or 5 people in a room. The guests may also use the kitchen, fully equipped with dishes and cutlery. In addition, there is a guest lounge with the information desk and computer with free Internet connection as well as a large common terrace outside. From the terrace guests may enjoy the atmosphere of Ljubljana city centre. Some interesting sightseeing points nearby include: the ancient Roman Wall (5 minutes by foot), Theatre Drama (4 minutes), cultural centre called Cankarjev dom with a big concert hall (5 minutes) and many of the University buildings in the surroundings. On the ground floor there is a restaurant with original Slovenian food and beverages. In the evening you can enjoy yourself in the garden and perhaps drink a beer or taste some Slovenian wines. Guests may order breakfast for the next day (additional fee applies) at the reception of Penzion Pod Lipo upon their arrival. Breakfast consists of: a warm beverage (tea or coffee), a cold beverage (apple juice or orange juice), two kinds of bread, salami, cheese, butter or margarine, jam or honey. BY CAR: To reach Penzion Pod lipo by car, please, consider the one-way system valid in this part of the city. The one-way street called Rimska cesta leads you to Penzion Pod lipo. Right at the Penzion the street splits into Rimska cesta and Igriska ulica. You can reach Rimska cesta from Presernova cesta, Trg Mladinskih delovnih brigad and from Askerceva cesta. The largest traffic route leading to this part of the city is named Tivolska cesta. If you come by car and if you use a GPS navigation system, we recommend that you enter as your final destination the crossroads between RIMSKA CESTA and IGRISKA ULICA. BY BUS: Penzion Pod lipo is approx 1.5 km far from the bus station. At the bus station take the city bus No. 9 in direction to TRNOVO and get off at the bus stop DRAMA in Slovenska cesta, then proceed in the direction of the bus to the first crossing, turn right and go straight ahead. You enter the street named Rimska cesta and after 100 meters you reach Penzion Pod lipo, located on the right side of the street. BY TRAIN: Penzion Pod lipo is approx 1.5 km far from the railway station. At the bus station take the city bus No. 9 in direction to TRNOVO and get off at the bus stop DRAMA in Slovenska cesta, then proceed in the direction of the bus to the first crossing, turn right and go straight ahead. You enter the street named Rimska cesta and after 100 meters you reach Penzion Pod lipo, located on the right side of the street. BY AIRPLANE: The Penzion is approx 25 km far from the Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport at Brnik. The airport has excellent connections with Ljubljana (bus, taxi).
