Private Bungalows are comfortable with private tiled bath with hot water, bamboo canopy bed with mosquito netting and a set of bunk beds, all are furnished with local art, bamboo and local hardwoods, tables and chairs inside as well as private deck outside. All have a stocked mini bar, refrigerator, coffee maker, safety deposit box, radio/alarm clock, fans, are spaced out for privacy and connected by elevated wooden walkways throughout the jungle ravine. The wooden bridges are punctuated by observatory terraces to enjoy bird watching and relaxing in the shade. We offer 5 Standard Rooms featuring private bath, fan, bamboo canopy bed with mosquito bed netting, desk and chair, closet, and terraces overlooking botanical gardens. One large standard room with large tiled bath, hot water shower/tub surround, fans, one double bed and a set of bunk beds with mosquito netting sleeping up to 4 with a front deck to observe the botanical gardens. We are working hard in conjunction with Minae, Corcovado Foundations and other members of the business and public to conserve and preserve this jungle gem. We are participating in a reforestation project with Minae to mill the fallen lumber on our reserve and plant new trees. Most of the wood in our lodge comes from the reserve reducing the ecological impact. We have planted thousands of new trees on the reserve including local hardwoods like mahagony, balsa, walking palms, ajo, guarumo (for the sloths) as well as fruit trees to cater to the local monkeys and bird populations like mamones, papaya, nancy, banana & chocolate.
