Conveniently located on Route 1A and only 10 miles from downtown Bangor, Maine, our antique shop consists of 4,000 sq. ft. filled with furnishings for both your home and office. You'll find both American and European furniture, unusual architectural items, lighting, clocks, oak beds, armoires, rugs, stained glass and acid etched glass windows and doors, as well as collectibles. Our bed and breakfast is open year round. Come stay with us and wake up in an 1833 stagecoach stop surrounded by beautiful antiques including armoires, marble top dressers, and other furnishings. And while you enjoy your fresh brewed coffee and homemade pastries (such as our double berry muffins and orange coffee cake) reminisce about the people who have stayed here before you such as Alexander Longfellow (brother of poet Henry Wadsworth Longfellow), folk singer Dave Mallet, and the group The Waybacks.

Welcome to our unique Bed and Breakfast or "extended antique shop" at the Old Winterport Commercial House! All items in your room are for sale. So, if you like the oak antique bed, or a print on the wall, purchase them and take them home ! As an added feature, all of our guests are entitled to a special 10% discount on any of the items in their room or in the antique shop. Both the antique shop and bed & breakfast are open year round. Located on the second floor above our antique shop (with a separate and private entrance) are 4 distinct rooms. Three rooms have a single full size bed and one room has two full size beds. All rooms have a private full bath (ensuite), air conditioning, and clock radio. You will also find delicious chocolates as well as beautiful seasonal arrangements in each room. A relaxing full continental breakfast is served every morning in a casual atmosphere. So casual many of our guests come out in their p.j.'s! Our guests enjoy fresh brewed coffee (regular /decaf), tea (regular / herbal), a variety of juices, fresh fruits, hot and cold cereals, yogurt, and homemade bakery items such as blueberry muffins, apple streusel muffins, and banana coffee cake. For those weight conscious, ask us about our Morningstar Muffins which are a healthier alternative. Unlike other b&bs you do not have to be at the table at 7 a.m. or miss breakfast entirely. We simply begin serving at 7:00 a.m. and keep replenishing throughout the morning. So feel free to sleep in! Only 11 miles from I-95, 10 miles from downtown Bangor, Maine and 16 miles from Bangor International Airport. Our location allows the convenience of day trips to the coast, Belfast, Camden, Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor, Ellsworth, Bangor, Sears Island Beach, Moosehead Lake, Hermon Mountain Skiing Area, and many other popular areas.
