The Retreat at Lookout provides new, upscale accommodation in Bodden Town, Grand Cayman. The Retreat at Lookout represents the realization of a vision by Caymanian owners Harvey and Betty Stephenson, to offer a unique and intimate Caymanian experience to visitors in the Eastern Districts. This is a rural, yet chic property for those who really want to get off the tourist trail. The property is inland among acres of beautiful gardens with wildlife, walking trails, bird watching and horseback riding. Family owned and operated, the Retreat at Lookout is an oasis of relaxation. The property is set on five acres of open plantation, filled with indigenous flora and fuana and tropical fruit trees. We are within 15 minutes walking distance of the beach. The Retreat at Lookout is decorated with fine furniture and beautiful island paintings. All of our eight guest rooms are named after a beautiful tropical flower such as poinciana, orchid and passion flower. All rooms have full private bathrooms, cable television, wireless internet (free of charge), air conditioning, fans, coffeemaker, mini fridge, hair dryer, alarm cock radio, iron and ironing board. The separate main house offers a sitting room, kitchen, dining room, verandah with rocking chairs and a hot tub. Surrounded by lush vegetation the pool, landscaped with palm trees, provides an atmosphere of relaxation and tranquility. A complimentary Caribbean breakfast is prepared and served every morning from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Unlike most island hotels and condos, there is no "service charge" at the Retreat at Lookout. Finding your way from Owen Roberts International Airport in George Town, to The Retreat at Lookout in Bodden Town, is easy! The Retreat is situated off the main road, about 10 miles east from the airport. There's only one exit road from the airport and rental car plaza, which ends after about one mile at a small roundabout. At the roundabout, just beside the post office, turn left, and continue past Foster's Food Fair until the "give way" sign. After the "give way" sign, keep to the left and follow the road which curves left around the end of the runway. You're now on the main road heading east to Bodden Town, East End, and North Side. Along the way to Bodden Town, the roads leads through several villages, including Prospect, Spotts, Savannah, Lower valley, and Pedro. Don't confuse the signs for the district of Bodden Town, which will appear sooner than the Town itself. After Pedro, you'll enter the village of Bodden Town (watch out for the 25 mph speed limit signs) the road curves sharply to the left. Just after the curve there's an Esso and Texaco station on your right. On your left you will pass the Post Office and the Pirate Cave. Continue on until you reach the Cemetary then turn left on Anton Bodden Drive. Take the second right on Lookout Road (you will see the Retreat Sign on your right) We are approximately 1 mile on your left.
