Les Orchidees offers bed and breakfast accommodation as well as a gite - self-catering cottage. The bed-and-breakfast includes a bedroom with ensuite toilets and shower-room, and with breakfast. Bedlinen and towels are supplied, beds are made and room cleaning is included in the price. At our b&b, a conservatory is at your disposal with fridge, microwave oven and espresso machine. The self-catering cottage, or gite, is a fully furnished house, to be rented for a week or more. Our gite can be rented for at least five days. We supply bedlinen, towels, beds are made, but the housework is not included in the price. The house has to be returned as clean as you got it, particularly the kitchen, toilets and shower-room.
Our four rooms are rated three ears of corn by the Gites de France label. They have direct access and are located on the ground-floor, except the Art Nouveau Room, which is upstairs. Henry IInd Room: The surface of this cosy room is 18 mē, it is for two people, on the ground-floor, with independent access. The bed is 160 cm broad. This room and its bathroom are accessible to people in a wheelchair. The en-suite bathroom has a shower, a washbasin, a hair-dryer, a towel-dryer and the toilets. The Wrought Iron Room: The surface of this very romantic room is 18 sq.m. It can accommodate three people, and is located on the ground-floor, with independent access. A Double bed (160 cm) and a single bed. A wardrobe with coathangers and shelves. Bathroom and toilets en suite. The bathroom has a shower, a washbasin, a hair-dryer and a towel-dryer. The English Room: The surface of this lovely room is 18 mē, it is for three people, on the ground-floor, with independent access. A Double bed (160 cm) and a single bed. It has a wardrobe with coathangers and shelves. Bathroom and toilets are en suite. The bathroom has a shower, a washbasin, a hair-dryer and a towel-dryer. The Art Nouveau Room: This room is upstairs, it is for two people (15 mē), with independent access. A wardrobe with coat-hangers and shelves. The bathroom has a shower, a washbasin, a hair-dryer, a towel-dryer and the toilets. The rooms were built in 2006, with a wooden frame and white wooden walls, in traditional picard style. Four parking lots are reserved for our guests, among which one is suitable for disabled people. The little patio in the garden is at your disposal. Our breakfasts include tea, coffee or hot chocolate, home-made bread or brioche, home-made fruit-salad, fruit-juice and cereals. You can use our conservatory during the day for hot drinks and snacks. There is a fridge and a microwave at your disposal, as well as plates, glasses, crockery and other tableware. Please ask beforehand. This area is accessible to people in a wheelchair.
Our self-catering cottage - Gite - is designed for five people, or six with an extra bed. There are three bedrooms, two dining rooms, a lounge, a fully equipped kitchen, a front garden and a back garden. Our self-catering cottage, or gite is a former farm in the heart of the Somme Valley. From the carriage entrance, you can see front of the house behind the trees of the front garden. At the back, there is garden table and chairs, with an awning, overlooking the big backgarden. On the ground-floor, you step directly into the TV-lounge with its fire-place, separated from the dining room with old beams. Then, you have another, more modern dining room close to the kitchen. In the kitchen : oven, micro-wave oven, fridge with a little freezer, dish-washer, coffee-machine, electric barbecue, electric whisk, assorted crockery and cuttlery, pots and pans, salad dish, and a plenty of other things. At the foot of the stairs, there are toilets, and at the top, a long corridor. Mind your head, old beams are hard. Upstairs : the bathroom has a big shower, toilets, washing-machine with washing powder and softener, a towel-dryer and two hair-dryers ; the blue room has a 90cm bed and can have an extra bed for a sixth person : the pink room has two 90cm beds and the cream-couloured room has a 160cm bed.
