WELCOME to a WHOLE SET OF NEW EMOTIONS. The house offers you 6 double rooms, with direct and individual access to the garden and to the swimming pool, all of them with private bathrooms, stylish furniture and central heating. A perfect place where you will be able to have some rest, relax and forget about the stress word. For the leisure moments, the house makes available for the guests a set of equipments, creating a pleasant stay, in a comfortable environment. Aware of the reality of environmental issues, the principles that are on the basis of Quinta dos Castanheiros lay on the environmental sustainability. Therefore, energy solutions have been adopted regarding the environmental sustainability of the planet, through the use of the house's own water resource systems (the house has a water source in it), use of solar energy through solar panels, and the geographical location taking into account the maximum profit from the solar light and energy.

LAGAR'S ROOM: The history of grape collecting echoes in this room. In the past, in this place, men, between laughter and chants, would step on the grapes, carried by their smell during processing. After collecting the grapes, they emptied the baskets into the mill, where they would await for the feet of all men belonging to the community. If you stay in this room, close your eyes and try imagining yourself barefoot, inside the mill, singing the traditional chants, one step after another , feeling the cold grapes smashing under you. EIRA'S ROOM: The history of Negreda intersects inevitably with the Eira's history. The outside, where the swimming-pool is now, was called the EIRA. The Eira was a community place, it belonged to every inhabitant of the village. Here took place activities where everyone participated. While sleeping in this room, close your eyes and think of the community tasks that were developed in the village. Participate on them and enjoy the well-being sense... NEGRILHO'S ROOM: The elms were nearly extinguished by a disease - a fungus that destroyed the tree's water channels. The majestic Elm that one could observe from this room was no exception. Its lordliness knew an end when it was taken down. Remembering the elm's existence we suggest that you look outside the window and imagine the outstanding tree. Enjoy the relaxation moment!

NOGUEIRA'S ROOM: In this room you will dream of happily discovering the natural paths of Nogueira's mountain range... Before going to sleep, spare some time to look at the night and the beautiful sky and pay attention to the Nogueira's mountain range contours... NASCENTE'S ROOM: Imagine yourself sleeping in a room where life begins...the water really is the source of life...the Quinta dos Castanheiros has a water source inside the house, which is destined to be use internally. Imagine the clear water coming out, translucent from the source...and fall asleep in peace... AMOREIRA'S ROOM: The amoreira (Morus sp.; Moraceae) is an originally Chinese tree, whose fruit is the well known blackberry. It is a medium tree that can reach about 4 to 5 metres high, its shell is slightly wrinkled, dark and big crown. It is a bird attracting tree, especially hummingbirds that build their nests there. They were also cultivated due to their leaves, that feed the silk bugs. The production of silk was a considerably relevant economical activity in Trás-os-Montes, which makes these trees commonly observable in the region.
