We have designed an exciting and challenging golf escape for those wanting to pamper themselves in FIVE STAR luxury at the Homeport Historic Bed and Breakfast and enjoy some of the most breathtaking golf and scenery in New Brunswick at the Westfield Golf and Country Club. Overlooking the St. John River Valley 15km inland from the Bay of Fundy, Westfield GCC is well known as one of the most scenic courses in New Brunswick. It is a challenging 18 holes course initially designed by Donald Ross in 1919. Plenty of water and sand come into play and there are some difficult slopes to traverse both up and down. The full package includes two rounds of golf (per person) played over two days followed each night by a stay at the luxurious FIVE STAR Homeport Historic BB c1858. An electric cart is provided for each couple along with access to the driving range. The advance booking privileges available only thru this package lets you plan your day to accommodate travel time or sightseeing plans. The twin homes were built in 1858, predating Canadian confederation by 9 years, and were constructed for a prominent shipbuilding family whose boat yard was located a few hundred yards below on the harbor tidal flats. Its unique Italianate architecture reflects the opulence of the time with very large bright windows and rooms, 10 foot ceilings, two free standing spiral stair cases, and detailed wood work rosettes, finials and columns. Of particular interest is a pair of carved figure heads that have stood sentinel in the formal twin parlors for nearly 150 years.
