BWIA West Indies Airways operates a number of international flights from Miami, New York, Washington, London and Manchester; but all of these necessitate disembarking in Trinidad, and
transferring to a local shuttle flight. The same goes for. (via San Juan, Puerto Rico). If you can't book a direct flight, simply connect through Trinidad. A number of international airlines fly into Trinidad's. Piarco International
Airport and Tobago Express operate frequent shuttle flights to and from Tobago. The round-
trip airfare on these inter-Island flights is approximately US$50. Once you land at Tobago's. Crown Point International
Airport you're only an hour and a half from Speyside. It is possible to get here via public transportation -- for instance, a shared route
taxi or maxi
taxi from Scarborough -- but this is not recommended for first-time visitors. It is far easier to hire an
airport taxi for $40 US ($60 US after 10 p.m.). Or we will arrange an
airport pickup for you. There is also a government bus that services the route several times a day; it can be boarded at the Bus Terminal in Scarborough. If you prefer to drive, you can rent a car or jeep for between $40 and $50 US per day, depending on the rental agent and the age of the vehicle. The Windward Road to Speyside is incredibly scenic, but it's also twisty and narrow -- and we drive on the left. These are things to keep in mind, if you arrive after dark. Day-time drivers will enjoy the
trip, if they have the time to take it slowly. Motorcycle rentals are also possible, but probably not advisable if you arrive at night.

center Crown Point, the mountains drop directly into the sea, catching a multitude of deserted coves and beaches in their folds. Back on land, Speyside is a natural magnet for birdwatchers. Mountains, forests, and unregenerate cocoa estates abound, bringing a constant parade of bird species within easy view. Offshore, fringing coral reefs offer untold delights to snorkelers. Out on the sea, scuba diving with EXTRA DIVERS is among the best in the Caribbean. The wealth of coral and phytoplankton attract a multitude of fish, from tiny glittering reef jewels to awesome-sized moray eels, mantas, tarpon, sharks and even whalesharks. For the adventurous, night-diving offers entry to an even stranger phosphorescent underworld, with octopi, stalking lobsters, and hungrily-feeding coral colonies.
