gardens from the picture window or warm up in front of our cozy fireplace with a cup of hot

Lodging, Accommodations, Plymouth Ma. Barbara's Guest House Plymouth, Ma. Plimoth Plantation Guides at Plimoth Plantation must take special courses in Pilgrim lore each winter, in order to serve you during the summer and answer your questions. You'll find that they are well informed and enjoy their work. The stories of their lives is well worth the
trip through the past. Allow at least an hour for the visit (we recommend at least three). The spelling of Plimoth, with an i is in keeping with ancient records and early maps. The National Monument to The Forefathers The grand central figure, Faith, symbolizes what inspired the Pilgrim's journey to the New World. It is a large-featured, classically-draped female standing with one foot on Plymouth Rock. She is holding an open Bible in her left hand while her right hand is uplifted to heaven. We strongly recommend that this site be visited with a
tour guide, The complexity of this statue is amazing and will take some time to describe what the details of the Forefathers statue mean. May we recomend for an informative guide of the monument. Other sites of interest are: Burial Hill Coles Hill The Rock. Barbara's Guest House Plymouth, Ma.

Plymouth Rock Plymouth Rock, located just five minutes from our Guest House, has been broken several times, moved twice and saved from being buried by a 95 year old Deacon of a local church. The urban legend of this simple stone has a wonderful history and is one of many historic symbols that you will find in Plymouth Massachusetts. Tens of thousands of Americans visit Plymouth Rock each year affirming the importance of the idea of Independence and Democracy in the American consciousness for more than three and a half centuries. The Mayflower set sail on September 6, 1620 and sailed for 33 days until it landed out at Provincetown first. Exploring the land they finally anchored out in Plymouth Harbor on December 21, 1620. Mayflower II Seeing this little ship today, it's almost impossible to believe that 102 men, women and children, guided by a crew of 35, were squeezed into a boat just 90 feet from stem to stern and only 25 feet at the mayflower's widest point.
