Location of our Farm Estate. Map source: HIBBA brochure. Our farm is very centrally located 1/2 way between Hilo and Kona [1 1/4 hr. driving time from each]. We're just 45. min. from the entrance to Hawaii Volcano National Park If you enjoy a taste of peaceful old Hawaii, then we'll make a great home base for island exploring. The Big Island is home to 11 of the worlds 13 climate zones. You can go from desert to rainforest all in one afternoon. Our home is located at 880 ft. elevation. January nights are around 60F and daytimes 78F to 82F. July brings night temps around 70F and daytimes 82F to 84F. With rare acceptation our property has a gentle 5 m.p.h. trade wind, which makes us just right. Rainfall averages 40 to 60 inches per year. Enough to keep our Macadamias growing nicely and our lawns green [we hope]. Our country location doesn't mean you have to go hungry. First we'll start you off with a sumptuous breakfast incorporating local tropical fruits and our farm fresh Macadamias. We have 5 eating places within 2 miles of us. You can get everything from take out pizza to a full sit down meal. Closing times vary per restaurant and range between 5 and 9 p.m. Island Market is just 2 miles from us and open most nights to 7:30 p.m. For incidentals, Wong Yuen store is just around the corner. We have 2 gas stations with-in 2 miles.
