Welcome you to Dunroamin B B is a small family run Bed and Breakfast, centrally located in the heart of the town of which is set round a busy picturesque harbour and has a Scottish Tourist Board 3 Star rating. All rooms have Central Heating, Colour TV, Radio alarms, Hair Dryers, Tea and Coffee making facilities. Some have wash hand basins. En-suite rooms also available. Bicycle and Car hire can be arranged. Bed Breakfast per person. Single from - £25.00. Double/Twin from - £25.00. En-suite from - £28.00. Why not use the beautiful to tour the Islands. HISTORICAL INFORMATION. There are several circles on the Island with the Callanish Stones being the largest. There is also an Iron Age Brooch at Carloway and an authentic Black House at Arnol. Moving on to Harris, the beautiful St. Clements Church at Rodel is another of the great sites to see. There is an abundance of flowers covering the Machairs and in summer months some lochs are covered with a carpet of yellow and white water lilies. The roads are quiet and ideal for cycling - just watch out for the sheep! On rainy days, we have a new museum, Harris Tweed tours, a swimming pool and sports centre and the recently opened Callanish Stones Exhibition Centre. There is a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants within an 8 minute walk from Dunroamin. There are many deserted beautiful white sand beaches around the Island, the nearest being Coll Beach situated 4 miles from Stornoway. Excellent trout and salmon fishing can be had at numerous lochs scattered all round the Island. Sea fishing can also be arranged. Stornoway has an excellent 18 hole Golf Course with a very friendly 19th hole. The course is situated about 5 minutes walk from Dunroamin. There are lots of beautiful walks in the Castle Grounds, the longest about 2 hours. There is also miles of beaches to stroll and watch the idyllic Hebridean sunsets. There are plenty hill and estuaries to explore and also many opportunities for bird spotting. There are millions of seabirds - Gannet, Fulmar, Puffin, Oyster Catcher and inland there are Red Grouse, Greenshank, Skylark, Corncrake and Mallard to name but a few. Website Designed Built by.
