BB Cabin Retreat This getaway includes a one night's stay for two in our secluded Cabin Retreat at the base of the Wildcat Hills. If you wish, on the evening of your arrival you can bring your own supper supplies with you to fix in your private kitchen or on the grill or let us arrange your supper in one of our fine local restaurants. Relax after supper by going for a walk, trail ride (on your own horse), or spend your evening watching the cattle and the wildlife from your shady porch. Then close to sunset you'll want to have your camera ready to capture the sun's spectacular display of colors on the horizon. Pick up that book that's been sitting idle on your night stand for months, put a puzzle together, play a game of card or just renew your relationship without the presence of a telephone or television. Enjoy your private bath and comfortable queen size bed for a restful night's sleep. In the morning, awake to your choice of a continental breakfast, a full home-cooked breakfast at the ranch house, or use those delicious farm fresh eggs and other fixin's we supply to make your own masterpiece breakfast. Want to see what it takes to run a working cattle ranch in the Wildcat Hills of Western Nebraska? The Flying Bee Ranch is the place to be. It's located near the historic Oregon Trail and Chimney Rock. Start the day by helping us bottle-feed an orphan ride with us in our RTV or pickup for 3-4 hours, as we're off to the pastures to check the cows and calves. baby calf nursing its mama calves romp and play just like little children. Have your picture taken with our oxen, and feed him right out of your hand. are operating properly to provide water for our livestock. Here you might get a glimpse of a coyote darting across the pasture or a golden eagles soaring overhead. A raptor may swoop down to capture its prey or a flock of turkey could saunter down the draw. The mule deer may peek at you through the brush with great curiosity and the antelope just might be grazing on the hay field. Many of our short grass prairie birds can be spotted sitting on the barbwire fences right along the road. The recently reintroduced Big Horn Sheep will look like rocks on the side of the hill from a distance.
