games which are spread out over the summer. Wick Pipe Band on parade. The Band carries out a wide variety of engagements throughout the year but particularly in the Summer months when Street Parades are undertaken on Saturday evenings from July to mid September unless the Band is appearing as some other event. Also every Wednesday evening from July to mid September the Band holds a Summer Show in the Pipe Band Hall. The Shows are popular with both locals and visitors. There are various local and visiting acts each week including the mini Pipe Band, Highland Dancers, Scottish Dance Band, male and female vocalists, etc. Admission costs £2.50 and this includes
tea/
coffee and biscuits.
The Clachan was built in 1938, the word Clachan means hamlet or small village. In 1991 we added a purpose built extension for our guests. The Scottish Tourist Board award is conscientiously complied with as is the Automobile Associations High Award. Sinclair and Girnagoe Castle. ABOUT THE ROYAL BURGH OF WICK. Wick (norse origin meaning creek or Bay) is the most northerly county town in mainland Britain. It has a population of approx. 9,000 and was once quoted as the busiest herring fishing port in Europe. Centre - The Castles of Oldwick, Sinclair and Girigoe. Within half an hour lies John O;Groats, where day
trips may be made to the Orkney Isles with full guided

journey from Inverness up the main A9 then on the A99 to Wick, 'The Clachan is the first house on the right after entering Wick, so it is very. We are in Wick in the far north east of Scotland in the county of Caithness. The journey north from Inverness takes about 2 hours by car through some of Scotland's finest scenery as you follow the coast line for the last part of your journey north entering Caithness. The Clachan is very easy to find as we are one of the first houses on the right as you enter Wick on the south side of town.
