For those of you that would prefer to explore, Kinloch is close to some of the most famous castles and stately homes in Scotland, from Glamis Castle -childhood home of the late Queen Mother, Scone Palace;the crowning place of Scottish kings and Blair Castle;the ancient seat of the Dukes of Atholl. Not forgetting the lesser known properties of the House of Dun;designed by William Adams and Fasque Castle, home of William Gladstone, prime minister to Queen Victoria on four occasion! Other attractions well worth a visit are the
gardens of Cambo House, Drummond Castle, Branklyn and the House of Pitmuies or if you enjoy a dram there is the world;s smallest scotch whisky distillery at Edradour or the famous Grouse at Glenturret. For family attractions spend a day at the award winning visitor attractions of Discovery Point and on board the Royal Research Ship Discovery and the working jute mill at Verdant Works; Sensation -putting fun into science or the Crannog
Centre to experience an early scottish settlement.. Even if you follow tthe Tayside and Fife antique trail or the;sma glen; route to the book
shop at the resored watermill of Aberfeldy or find yourself shopping at the House of Bruar, you will be rewarded with glorious scenery and a sense of freedom. A guided
tour of the area by chauffeur driven car can be arranged. If that all still sounds too energetic why not relax with a dip in the

Glamis Castle The family home of the Earls of Strathmore and Kinghorne and has been a royal residence since 1372. Edradour Distillery Nestled in a pocket glen, in the hills above Pitlochry in the southern Highlands lies Edradour the smallest distillery in Scotland. Virtually unchanged in the last 150 years, only twelve casks a week are produced making Edradour Single Malt Whisky a rare pleasure for a fortunate few. Discovery Point Step aboard the Royal Research Ship Discovery that took Captain Robert Falcon Scott and his brave crew to Antartica in 1901. Award winning exhibition and museum that takes you on an adventure with Scott, Shackleton and the men of The Heroic Age of Exploration. Scone Palace The crowning place of Scottish kings, where Macbeth, Robert the Bruce and Charles II were crowned on the Stone of Destiny. The capital of Pictavia in the 5th Century onwards and now the family home of the Earls of Mansfield. Scone is a unique treasury of
furniture, paintings, porcelain and other objects dart and for the adventurous there is a unique tartan maze of 2000 beech trees half green, half copper, designed by the world famous designer Adrian Fisher. Perthshire

Salmon fishing in Perthshire on the River Tay is world renowned. It is one of the Classic rivers, boasts the UK record and is still known for its spring fish. The Tay also has many smaller tributaries such as the Ericht, Isla, Gary and Tilt which are also excellent salmon and trout fisheries. The prolific Angus rivers North and South Esk are also within easy reach. All your needs will be taken care of whether it is rod or boat hire and tuition to local knowledge from the guide and not forgetting the picnic hamper. Our local guide, Dougie Morrison is a qualified casting instructor and professional fishing guide with many years of experience. In addition to fishing on the Tay and Ericht, Dougie has access to a fine beat on the River Dee. Charges. The Beat on application as charges vary depending on the beat and date. Guide, Dougie Morrison -£150.00 per day includes being met at the hotel, driven to the beat, guidance throughout the day and returned to the hotel. Rod Reel if required - £15.00 per unit. Terminal Tackle such as flies, spinners etc charged as used. Waders if required - £15.00 per pair. Hourly casting lesson can be organised on site at the hotel or nearby water and is £25.00 per hour for one and thereafter £10.00 per person per hour. Tackle included if required. The season for salmon runs from the 15th of January until the 15th of October. Kinloch House is situated on a gently sloping hillside looking out over a wide and lush valley, the heartland of some of Scotland;s richest agricultural acres and the
centre of the soft fruit growing industry. Built is 1840, the house is a fine example of a Scottish country house with oak panelled hall and first floor portrait gallery, and stands in twenty five acres of woodland policies and parkland. All eighteen
bedrooms including
three suites and four ground floor
rooms are individually decorated with fine furnishings and fabrics. Guests can enjoy a stroll to the walled
garden or take
tea in the conservatory or by the log fire, or for the more energetic enjoy a dip in the
swimming pool. No stay would be complete at Kinloch House without the pleasure of the food. Under executive chef Andy May, every attention is paid to detail from the supplier to the table. There is a consitency of performance in the
kitchen and a believe in the value of freshness and quality. Full use is made of local
game, beef, fish, shellfish and produce from the
