A Unique Disc Golf Experience and a Fabulous Pro Shop Toll Free: 888-588-3233. The Course is Open and 2008 Season Passes are now on sale for $80. Carved out of the Northwoods, this challenging 25-to 27-hole course is fun for all skill levels. Your five-year-old can play and your parents. Even grandparents can play. Simply put, disc golf is golf played with a Frisbee-like disc. Your target is the steel basket or pole hole. Count the number of throws it takes to get from the tee-pad to the basket and mark your score. Professional or advanced par is Par 3 on each hole. Family par is Par 4 on each hole. Disc Golf is like taking a hike in the woods and playing a game at the same time. The Sandy Point Ranch course is located in the forested property away from the lake and cabins. It is well marked with tee-signs and directional arrows, with two to three pin placements per hole, but only one set of baskets. Benches, trash cans and out-houses are located throughout the course. Golf discs, score cards and pencils are made available to all resident guests of the resort, and to recreational players who pay a $5 green fee. A whole world of disc golf exists, including a professional organization called the. Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA). which has over 30,000 members worldwide. Resort owners, Mike and Michele, and even their daughters, Willow and Camille, are members of both associations. In the state of Wisconsin alone there are some 126 courses. Play in our Wednesday Night Leagues. League play happens during the summer, from May through September. A $5 fee includes league/green fees and ace pool.
