The Captain’s Neighbor. The newest addition to our. Hermann, MO bed and
breakfast recognizes the groups other than Germans who lived in Hermann. The Captain’s Neighbor, (right across Third Street from the Wohlt
Suites) is a lovely story and a half brick home built in 1892. It was purchased and renovated in 2003. Carefully furnished to be
business-friendly, the Neighbor is a warm and comforting retreat as well. With a
luxurious suite, charming
guestroom, and beautiful Gathering
Room downstairs, and two huge
guestrooms upstairs, it combines the newest amenities with old-fashioned charm and comfort. As throughout our Captain Wohlt Bed
Breakfast, each
room has its own
bath, and each night’s stay includes a full and delicious hot
breakfast served in the Inn
dining room. Behind the Captain’s Neighbor are a private
parking lot, shed to store bicycles, and a lovely
garden.

Room for the Captain’s Neighbor is a warm and lovely space where our guests may get together for conversation, or small
business meetings can be held with comfort and convenience. The commodious furnishings are perfect for reading,
games, or
TV viewing, and the large table can accommodate
business meetings, with a wonderful entertainment
center supplying
audio-visual needs. A
refrigerator, microwave, and hot
drink machine make snacking convenient. With the help of a great decorator (Barb Kahn, of the Tin Rabbit) the area is both useful and welcoming. French

Room, the French
Room offers a light and cozy “
room with a view.” The comfortable Provence queen bed with its charming green quilt beckons one to a restful night’s sleep, made more enjoyable by a long soak in the antique claw-footed

suite, decorated in sunny yellow, blue and white, provides many amenities for a. The huge
bedroom features a king-size bed, comfortable sitting area,
cable TV, and an electric fireplace to add ambiance and warmth. The gracious
bathroom includes a

shower, and heated towel rack. With its own microwave and
refrigerator, it is the perfect place to spend an evening (or better yet a weekend) away from the world. The spacious

Hermann bed and
breakfast provide large spaces outside and in for our guests. In the Poeschel and Peters
Suites, children under twelve may stay free with their parents, making our BB a nice alternative to hotel lodging for your. Missouri family vacation. Each
suite consists of a
bedroom, a sitting area,
kitchenette, and outdoor area just for that
suite. The Peters and Poeschel
Suites can be opened up for family or friend groups since they comprise the entire house! The large
bedroom features an antique queen-size oak bed, as well as other lovely antiques, while the
bathroom boasts a refinished antique claw-footed
tub with
shower. The sitting
room, which has a double -sized sofa bed, can be closed off from the
bedroom. A VCR player and
videos will entertain children and their parents. Babies will feel at home in the Poeschel
Suite's nursery--their own special little vacation place! With direct access from our Hollyhock Alley
parking lot, the Poeschel
Suite has its own deck. Here guests may enjoy the outdoors in privacy, sharing only with the birds, butterflies, and
baby rabbits who inhabit the lovely grounds. This ground-floor
suite has its own entry on Third Street, as well as a breathtaking quilt on the wall above the queen-sized cherry four poster bed. The separate sitting
room has books,
games,
cable TV, and an antique day bed. The
kitchenette features the original cooking fireplace (NOW FOR LOOKS ONLY) as well as small
refrigerator and microwave for snacking and saving
restaurant leftovers (or cooling a bottle of wine)!. It opens onto a private
garden yard with a picnic table all your own. The
bathroom features a new jetted
tub for the ultimate in relaxation. The huge
bedroom includes an elegant king-size bed, a lovely sitting area with wicker
furniture, and a two-person
whirlpool tub. The
