~ An Ontario Family Resort ~. Camp Kuha Wilderness Resort is a secluded housekeeping resort with all modern conveniences. We have electricity ( without a generator) full septics, flush
toilets, neo-angle
shower units inside each cabin which have timber rafters and cathedral ceilings. Generous windows all around assure an openness to the outdoors. Camp Kuha is located in a very private and secluded section of shoreline (marked by a white dot in photo) without another shoreline cottage or structure anywhere in sight. This is an early spring view of Kuha's cabins showing generous spacing between the cabins for privacy. The cabins are located along the shoreline with private steps to private docks for each cabin. A log
sauna is located right at the shore. The lake has a firm, sandy, gently sloping bottom which allows
safe swimming for children. This panorama of the
living room area shows a wood burning stove on the left, open doors to
two bedrooms, a sofa love seat and a fully equipped
kitchen with small appliances including a microwave oven and full-size
fridge and stove. Another cabin interior view showing the dining area with views out to the lake. Each cabin has its own firepit for evening bonfires and picnic tables with space to play! The lake has sandy beaches everywhere for family picnics and shore
lunch areas for fishing groups! Camp Kuha is a special place for a holiday or fishing
trip!

CAMP KUHA, AN ONTARIO WALLEYE FISHING LODGE. NEAR SAULT STE. MARIE. Tunnel lake is a reservoir on the Mississagi River with 13 miles of navigable length and 50 miles of shoreline. It has many coves, islands, several large bay areas with widths of more than two miles. Water depths are extremely varied (up to 250 feet deep ) with many fishing shoals. The water is quite clear, slightly
tea stained. Weed beds are spotty and scattered and form slowly as summer progresses. Extensive gravel shoals are present favoring crayfish for the bass and form good spawning beds for the walleye. Tunnel lake is known for it's walleye ( the season opens the third Sat. in May ) but it's smallmouth bass fishing is exciting. The bass may still be on their nests when the season opens on the last Sat. of June and we have found easier success for bass fishing in Aug. and September. Each year large pike are caught and released-something we recommend for all large fish. Pike go deep during the warm summer months. Whitefish are caught incidentally and jumbo perch and pan fish are there for everyone. Sturgeon have been caught and stocked in the past by the MNR. Our rental boats are pictured here. They have
flat bottoms, fish finders ( Eagle Humminbird ), two padded swivel seats, live wells and navigation lights. The motors are 15 horse mercury 4 stroke engines which permit planing with two aboard. We have shore
lunch kits that can be taken out to the lake where many good sites can make for a memorable meal. The fish cleaning hut has running water and electricity for filleting knives and good lighting for cleaning fish at night. Fishing can be done into darkness right by Kuha. Kuha is located in area D Section 18 of the Provincial Fishing Division Map. This map is located in the MNR Fishing regulations booklet shown here.
