Restaurant 1745 Wine List. House Wine Selection. Pinot Grigio Delle Dolomiti, 2007, (Italy). The last word in wine chic, this is a light, dry white, not too crisp, subtle yet flavoursome. Not too high in alcohol, so good at
lunchtime. Siete Soles Semillon/Chardonnay, 2006, (Chile). Ripely rounded, with soft, tropical fruit and a very smooth style.A succulent, easy drinking wine. Siete Soles Cabernet/Merlot, Casablanca, 2007, (Chile). Ripely rounded, with soft, red berry fruit and a very smooth style. Supple and easy drinking. Rose Cabernet Sauvignon, Santa Rita, 2006 (Chile). A fine Rose from Chile, subtle flavours and ideal with light dishes. Muscadet de Sevre-et-Maine, Chateau du Cleray 2006. The undoubted best accompaniment to shellfish and good with fish in general. Chablis 2006, Domaine Brocard. The classic dry burgundy, well bodied but elegant wine, for fish in particular. Sancerre 'Les Boffants', Charles Dupuy. Pretty sauvignon blanc from stony hills in the Loire valley, dry, fragrant and fresh. Pinot Grigio Riserva 2005, Mezzacorona. Completely different style than the house - deep tasting, round and substantial, great with chicken. Soave Classico, DOC, Botter, 2006. A soft, generous wine with ripe orchard fruit flavours. drinks well with most salads and cold food. Torreon de Puredes, Sauvignon Blanc Reserva, Rengo. A ripe wine, with a strong taste of berries and a hint of mint. Pinot Noir.
