Historically significant, Spring Street Inn is an Empire Victorian Inn built in 1858 by one of the investors in the Fall River Steamship Company as his residence. Spring Street Inn may have been a stop on the Underground Railroad. The Inn is beautifully decorated and furnished with fine antiques, historic prints of old Newport and fresh floral arrangements. Innkeepers Patricia Golder and Jack Lang emphasize hospitality in casually elegant surroundings. Free on site parking for one car per room. Enjoy pitchers of fresh orange juice, platters of fresh fruit, an assortment of cereals, and baskets of muffins with your entree. In the afternoon, cookies and complimentary iced tea, cider, and/or lemonade are served in the guest living room and library.

Rates range from $119 to $299 per night for single or double occupancy (maximum double occupancy - no third person), depending upon season, day of week and accomodation chosen. There is a two-night minimum stay for weekends and a three-night minimum stay for holiday and Festival weekends. Most rooms have a queen size bed. One room has two twin beds. The Harborview Suite has a king size bed in a large bedroom, a living room with cable TV and a wall of windows overlooking the town and harbor, a large bath with Jacuzzi and shower, and a private deck. A 50% deposit is required upon booking; VISA and MasterCard are accepted. Personal checks must be received at least 2 weeks prior to arrival. Balance is payable upon arrival. Reservations are confirmed by mail. All rates are subject to a total of 13% tax (7% RI Sales Tax 6% RI Hotel Tax). Please phone or email us to inquire about availability. We recommend that weekend or holidays be booked early to assure your choice of dates. We love pets but cannot accommodate them. There is no smoking at the inn. Cancellation Policy: Deposits will be returned, minus an office fee of $10 per room per night, if notice is received at least 10 days prior to arrival.
