Happy Holiday Homes was exactly what we wanted for our Bonaire accommodations! The unit was spacious, clean, and equipped with everything we needed to feel at home. The ceiling fans, window breezes, and AC in the bedroom made it very comfortable inside the apartment. If you are a tall person, you will love the 2 meter long beds that are available; they were very comfortable as well--be sure to ask for them! The grounds outside offered shade, sun, privacy,lovely shrubs and trees, and quiet. I enjoyed watching the native birds and listening to their calls. Breakfast and lunch on the patio were great! We snorkel and dive, so the tubs for rinsing gear, and the hooks and clotheslines for hanging everything to dry, were extremely convenient. We felt that everything was secure as well, with the locking outdoor storage closet for dive gear, and the safe for valuables inside. Louise said it was fine to leave the windows and doors of the apartment open during the day to catch the breezes even while we were away, and she was right! We had the most relaxing, carefree vacation in years at Happy Holiday Homes. I hope I get to go back there soon! Jerry Barbara Gibbons - USA. Great accommodations for a restful, laid back vacation. Louise, Kitty, Evert and Mel all very helpful. We are boardsailors and found the location great with easy, direct access to Lac Bay and the Windsurfing Place where we sailed. After having co-ordinated a second dive club trip of 15+ divers to Bonaire and HHH I can recommend them highly. Excellent value, friendly accommodating people, and comfortable bungalows make for a great place to stay. The bungalows provide lots of flexibility for groups and most of us got lots of use out of the kitchens. I really liked arriving to a fridge and pantry stocked with essentials, being able to have coffee and a bit of breakfast before diving, and a place to clean and dry dive gear that was 10’ from the truck. This time we stayed at the seaside apartment which turned out to be a 2 dedroom house right on the water with direct access to the water. The extra cost was well worth it. We had complete privacy, a patio overlooking the water, private parking, a wonderful kitchen, dining and living room. There was even cable TV. We don't think we'll ever be able to find another location as ideal as this. We chose to stay at HHH after reading various online reviews. We were actually expecting more of a hotel-like atmosphere, so having our own bungalow and our privacy was a pleasant surprise. The bungalows were clean and spacious, and having our own kitchen and a place to clean and store our dive gear was great. If we head back to Bonaire, we definately will stay at HHH again. Great location, great owners, great price... Just some advice, however -- If you are a couple, you might want to make sure you request a full bed. Sam and Deb Bernik - USA. We spent a week at HHH in October 2007, after hearing very good things from some friends. After arriving at 5 AM on the CON redeye, Louise greeted us in the driveway, showed us to our bungalow and made us rest up before coming to the office. Louise, Mel, and Kitty were very pleasant and helpful during our stay. The accommodations were very nice, the location was easy to get to and quiet. If you're looking for a place away from the resort bustle, HHH is perfect. Good value for the money! Hans and Sofia Ohnell - Sweden. Thank you for a nice stay in Bonaire! We must say that the apartment was much larger than we could ever hope for and the service was excelent. We can really recommend the HHH if you are going to Bonaire. Our comfortable, air-conditioned apartments are located in a quiet countryside neighborhood. The oceanside is close by, with two beaches within easy walking distance. There's lots of space: you'll never feel crowded, even if you have lots of gear to store. Our owners, Mel and Louise, take great pride in offering a lovely place at reasonable prices. You'll be welcomed like an old friend, more like family than just a guest. Great Accommodations. Depending on the size of your party, you'll choose from our one, two or three bedroom accommodations. Each has a separate living room with cable television, radio, and a safe for valuables. You'll enjoy meals in the dining area and the kitchen, which comes fully equipped with refrigerator, range, microwave, and a full set of utensils and dishes. If you'd like, we can arrange to have your kitchen stocked with basic groceries. Each bungalow has its own outdoor barbeque grill for outdoor cooking. We offer self-serve laundry facilities right on our premises. Our electrical power is 110 VAC/50 cycles and 220 VAC. U.S. appliances and accessories work without the need for an adapter, but items with a timer (like an alarm clock) can use our 50-cycle power however they will run too slow to show the proper time. Our bungalows are Internet equipped! Outdoors, you'll relax in the peaceful beauty of your own private garden, where you can watch iguanas, parakeets and our wild donkeys. There is a covered patio if you prefer to relax in the shade, and also a sun terrace with chaise lounge.
