The Wheelhouse Inn offers the following amenities for your convenience, and enjoyment: Each room has its own private bathroom with tub and shower. Some have whirlpool tubs for your comfort and relaxation. At the end of your bath wrap up in one of luxurious bath sheets that are provided for your ultimate comfort. The rooms all have private phones for your convenience and computer hookups are available upon request so you can keep track of your email and do your other online business. Fax services are available on site. Blow dryers and curling irons are provided in every room for your convenience. Each room has satellite TV and a VCR for your pleasure. There are also a number of videos on site for your convenience, as well as a large video outlet within walking distance. A full delicious breakfast is provided with the room rental, as well as complimentary evening snacks if desired. The spacious lounge area has a fireplace and seating area where you can enjoy just lounging around and visiting with other guests. You may also want to watch a movie on the large 32 screen TV. For your leisure, there is a recreation room equipped with a pool table and exercise equipment. If you are an outdoors enthusiast, you may want to take a walk on the pebbled beach or enjoy some of the other walking trails nearby.

At The Wheelhouse Inn we have established the following policies in order to maintain the highest quality of service for all guests both present and future: Smoking Due to the increasing number of people with allergies we offer a smoke free home. Smokers are still welcome to enjoy a smoke on the covered front veranda, on the large open deck in the back, or even while walking about enjoying the spacious well groomed grounds and garden area. Pets Once again due to the increasing number of people with allergies we do not allow pets in the indoor guest areas. We are very fond of pets and have some of our own, but they are confined to the outdoors and non-guest areas. If you are travelling with pets we would be happy to find a comfortable place for your pets during your stay. Children We are also very fond of children and have no problem with them staying with us provided they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. Cancellations If you have previously booked accommodations and feel you are unable to keep the booking as scheduled, we would prefer to have 24 hours of notice. However, we realize that when travelling it is not always easy to assess travelling times or have access to phones, so if you are unable to notify us 24 hours in advance we prefer that you give us as much notice as possible in that situation. If you have not notified us by 6:00 PM the night of the reservation it could result in a charge to your visa account.

The Wheelhouse Inn is located on Heritage Run at 204 Main Street, Burin, Newfoundland, Canada. The inn overlooks the scenic Burin Harbour which provides a spectacular view to all rooms in the house. If you enjoy nature, Fresh Pond Provincial Park, Winterland Ecological Reserve, and a number of hiking trails are just minutes away. A visit to some of the local historical sites may be on your list of things to do. You may want to spend the day at the beach at Golden Sands Resort, maybe shopping at malls, or visiting some of the nearby museums and other points of interest. If golf is your thing then Grande Meadows golf course is just a short drive away. You may just want to relax and take a walk in our garden or a stroll along the beach, both of these can be enjoyed on site. Of course no matter what your interests may be, our friendly hosts would be more than willing to help you plan your day and make your trip as pleasurable as possible.
