There are many ancient and majestic sites such as Whitby Abbey, Rievaulx Abbey and Kirkham Priory together with three imposing castles at Scarborough, Helmsley and Pickering. There are famous historic houses to visit like Burton Agnes Hall, Castle Howard and Nunnington Hall all within an easy journey. For those more active there are plenty of scenic walks to suit all abilities, and nothing could be better than taking in the dramatic views of the coast from the cliff top at Ravenscar's coastal
centre, or the picturesque woods and streams of Forge Valley. The glory of the North Yorkshire moors are yours to explore including the 8000 acres of Dalby Forest with its 9 miles of scenic drives. With so much to do and see, you really don't know what you are missing, but if you do want to stay close to base then Scarborough is divided into two bays - North Bay and South Bay - by the Castle Headland. The Castle is most certainly worth a visit and provides stunning views over both bays and boasts an impressive history dating back as far as 1135. It is said that the infamous King Richard III admired the views from Scarborough Castle so much that he still returns today. The North Bay, with its golden beaches includes the superb Peasholm Park and
gardens, offering scenic strolls along cliff tops or boating on the extensive lakes. The world famous Sea Life
Centre, with its three distinctive pyramids enthrals everyone with a magical display of sea life from around the British coastline, with feeding displays, narrations and a seal sanctuary. Alexandra Indoor Bowls

rooms, ensuring they are comfortable, well maintained and cleaned to a high standard on a daily basis, we therefore ask our guests, on their day of departure to vacate the
rooms by 10am.
Easy to find, easy to stay with... We are centrally located in North Bay on the A165, which is the main road from Scarborough town
centre signposted to Whitby and North Bay leisure parks. From Scarborough train station it is a short walk, down hill all the way, exit the station, crossing the road to Stephen Joseph Theatre, walk around the front of the Theatre which places you on North Way, walk past the
shops and Police station, continuing on down the hill across two roundabouts until you get to the Baptist Church, we are directly opposite on the right had side of the street. There is also a regular bus service from Leeds and surrounding towns which stops just at the bottom of our road next to Peasholm Park. We are easy to find and very easy, relaxed and enjoyable to stay with.
