In Victorian times the parlor was used to entertain visitors. It was elaborately decorated and usually had a feminie influence in its decoration. Our parlor, with its rose colored walls and lipstick pink chairs welcomes guests to experience the hospitality of our bed and breakfast. The parlor features a fireplacewith a marble surround, arched doorways and bookshelf, and an eleven-foot ceiling. This room is furnished with a beautiful oriental carpet and period furniture, including a massive dark oak sideboard with mirror and two sets of grandfather and grandmother chairs.

English architect Charles Eastlake is credited with popularizing the Eastlake style of the late 1800's. Hand crafted solid wood furniture with rectangular joinery, made of rugged wood were characteristic of the Eastlake style.
