Morning is a time of distinction at the Inn On Golden Pond. Aromas of freshly brewed
coffee drift to
guestrooms, and each day you will be treated to a full
breakfast featuring home-baked breads and muffins, homemade rhubarb jam, and a variety of delicious house specialties.
Breakfast is most often served
buffet style. There's a bottomless pot of
coffee or
tea, and no one watches, or minds, if you sneak an extra muffin. Sit and enjoy the beautiful view looking out to the backyard. We've seen deer, moose and even black bear while enjoying
breakfast. We think of
breakfast as a time to get to know our guests and so the morning hour is filled with conversation, stories and laughter. It's also a time to help get our guests off to a good start for the day. We're always available to answer questions about local attractions or to give directions to get our guests to their next destination. Bonnie has published a cookbook filled with her collection of
breakfast recipes. Not only can you taste her specialties, but also you can find out how they're made, and if you're interested you can purchase a cookbook to practice your cooking skills at home.

Breakfast Country Inn. Golden Pond exists only in our hearts and imaginations. But Squam Lake, New Hampshire's second largest lake and site for the filming of the
movie, captures the essence of any vacationer's dream - unspoiled

For the outdoorsman the Squam Lakes(there's a Big Squam and a Little Squam) offer 65 miles of shoreline to explore, more than 30 islands to circumvent, and 10 miles of open waterway to sail, motor or paddle in. Watch and listen to the loons. Fish the cool crystal clear waters for bass, salmon and trout. Off the lake you will find miles of hiking and mountain biking trails crisscrossing the Squam Range.
