Nature Break - Turns You On - We offer you an new kind of vacation in the heart of mother nature in Lake Myvatn northern Iceland. The standard package, three nights stay from Thursday to Sunday in winter, spring and autumn season. In the area we offer wide variety of trips and excurtions to make your holiday unforgettable and joyful. In this still and mystical place romance is in the air. The locals have a long tradition of bathing in the geothermal power of mother nature. We end all our excursions by giving the guests an oportunity to experience this phenomena, by visiting the Myvatn Naturebaths, opened in 2004 During winter we specialize in snow and winter activities. We offer hiking and cross country skiing daytrips as well as snow scooter tours and superjeep tours in the area. In these tours you will experience combination of ice and fire as mother nature binds it together. You will see Europas most powerful waterfall, Dettifoss, bound in ice and the arctic wildlife fighting for survival. In the spring during our bright summer night (24 hour daylight) we focus on the migrating birds and Whales, combined with volcanical activities. The stay, from Thursday to Sunday offers you Whale watching from Husavik, hikeing in Krafla Volcano and seeing the majority of Iceladic birds on our excurtions. As our bright summer nights get dark during August and September we focus on the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis). Spending the days exploring Volcanoes and lavaformations and making refreshing health baths in our natural steam. All tours start on Thursday nights by a transfer to Lake Myvatn from the Akureyri airport on Thursday nights by tranfer to Lake Myvatn. You will stay at Hotel Reynihlid, for next three nights. The Hotel is fully licenced with a good restaurant, rated **** by the Icelandic Tourist Board. Arriving at the Hotel, an exact schedule for your stay awaits you. We start the Friday with a two hour excurtion to the most popular places in the area, Boiling mud pots in Namafjall and Dimmuborgir Castles. During the stay a local expert will be at service for all our clients. Making information meeting during nights and donsulting you on trips and excurtions. On Sunday morning you will be transferred to Akureyri airport for flight to Reykjavik at 12.10. On the way we make a stop by Godafoss waterfall.

Myvatn Nature Preserve. Lake Mvatn lies in the northeast of Iceland on the western edge of the volcanin active zone that runs across the country from southwest to northeast. Mvatn is 37 square kilo-metres in area with about 50 small islands. The vege-tation in the Mvatn area is one of the best fishing lakes in Iceland and the bird life is world famous. The Mvatn and Lax areas are designated nature pre-serve. Everyone is free to enjoy the unfenced and un-planted land,unless otherwise indicated, but is asked not to disturb or damage the natural surroundings or the plants and wildlife.
