To All the Staff and Management, I jsut want to thank you all for all the kindness and help since my husband's unfortunate accident. Everyone has helped to reassure me and especially the girls on reception and Mr. Pierre Fenech, the Manager. I would always recommend the hotel for its warmth and friendly service and I hope we can return to lovely Malta in the future. I would also like to thank the two lovely Maltese gentlemen who helped me at the scene of the accident by ringing the ambulance and staying with me until it arrived and making my husband comfortable as possible. Once again thank you all. Your Sincerely mike and helen blake we stayed at the coastline for 1 week from 13th may 2008.thankyou for making it a fantastic stay.your staff are very friendly and helpful.the food is wonderful, the rooms are very clean and comfortable.we had an amazing time.hope to return soon.room 534. Sylvia Victor Abela. Dear Mr. Buhagiar Thanks so much for the wine. Our stay here was one of the best. We'll try to be back ASAP. Regards. Alan and Pamela Hughes. Dear Mr Buhagiar, With great reluctance we had to say 'Good Bye' to the Coastline on Tuesday, 4th March after a wonderful holiday - our second, but not last, with you. Last year we had a rather disappointing experience when we had to change rooms. This year I wrote to Reservations and have nothing but praise to say about your staff - particularly Mrs Gurchom. Not only did she arrange for an ideal room to be made available but she took the trouble to check that we were happy with the arrangements. This, we thought deserves special mention and acknowledgement for excellent customer relations. I completed the questionnaire, as requested, in which you asked for anyone deserving of special mention. This was before we met your charming and highly efficient, Charlene, when we had lunch in the restaurant on the lower level. I must say that she was quite outstanding and helped us enormously in choice of meal, wine and even two brilliant sandwiches to take with us for consumption at Luqa airport. I must say that these were the BEST we have ever had - please pass on our congratulations to everyone concerned for a very fine job! Needless to say, we will seriously consider spending further time with you next year. Thank you once again and please say a big 'Thank You' to everyone. The consistently high level of cleanliness, service, friendliness and helpfulness was outstanding and it may seem unfair to select anyone in particular, but if pressed, Josephine would be such a person. With best wishes. Alan and Pamela Hughes. A very big thank you for our enjoyable stay last week.It was a very nostalgic trip for us made more worthwhile with the extreme kindness and help from all staff. Thank you very much and look forward to seeing you all soon.Room 343. To the Coastline Hotel: (Copied to the Malta Tourism Authority.) I attended the Climate Change Diplomacy conference last week, staying at the Coastline Hotel from 4-9 February. Just before this trip, I ruptured my Achilles tendon, so I was wearing a brace and I was on crutches for the journey. I owe the staff of the Coastline Hotel a sincere thank you and deep gratitude for their support and assistance throughout my stay. Your front desk and restaurant staff went out of their way to provide me with assistance in a courteous and professional manner. They took a proactive approach to helping me (e.g. serving me during the breakfast and lunch buffets) and they were always quick and accurate in responding to my requests (e.g. coming to my room when I needed something, because it was not easy for me to get to the reception). That meant that I had the support, assistance, friendliness, and efficiency which not only made my stay wonderful but also permitted me to focus on the conference and my professional activities without having to worry about my temporary immobility. Coastline and Malta must be proud of these personnel who saw that I needed some special assistance and who then took the initiative to ensure that I had whatever I needed. Thank you once again and with warmest regards to a warm island--warm in weather and in hospitality. Dear Mr.Cristina, Thank you for your kind hospitality showed yesterday in our function at LaCosta pizzeria. We will be looking forward for another function in the near future. Best Regards. Thanks for your service, the food and especially a friendly staff always with a smile on their faces at all times. Dr. Glenn M. Carpenter. Dear Mr. Zahra, Following our conference at the Coastline last week I would like to extend my thanks to you for a very successful and effective event which was due in large part to the support and expertise of the Coastline employees who were some of the most professional hotel staff we worked with over the years. Particularly worthy of a mention are Pierre and Oliver who produced a first class service by pulling out all the stops behind the scenes to mastermind the smooth running of the event and Mario who expertly handled the all-important technology in a calm, good humoured, professional way. Furthermore, Paul effectively juggled with our changes to break times and Stefan provided sound, professional services for our delegates where needed. The reception staff were also quite indispensable and some of our delegates commented on the helpfulness of the chambermaids. All in all we were most impressed by the Coastline. Once again, many thanks indeed. Dr. Donia Baldacchino. Dear Mr. Winston Zahra, The Conference Organising Committee would like to thank you for your cooperation and help given to us by Mr. Pierre Fenech and Mr. Oliver Christina The rigorous preparations and the diligence shown by all the staff including the Receptionists, Chefs, Waiters, Security and Porters contributed towards the successful completion of the Conference. Also, the complementary room given to me facilitated the support and care of the foreign participants. Both the local and foreign participants spoke highly of the conference performances and the hotel management. Thank you! Ms. Colette Debattista. Dearest Mr. Zahra, Mr. Buhagiar, Mr. Fenech, Ms. Falzon and Team at The Coastline Hotel. With apologies for not sending this email earlier, may i kindly thank you and your outstanding Team at The Coastline Hotel for your kind and extremely important support during our SLS Showcase and seminar last week. The visit of our distinguished guests from London, Sir Harry Cowell and Miss Lou Mullen was a very enjoyable one for them. They were treated in a most professional manner by all the staff at The Coastline Hotel. During the one on one Artists meetings and during the Seminar the service was impeccable indeed and i must say that our foreign guests will be recommending this Hotel to their Artists roster which includes music stars from all over the World. Sir Harry and Miss Lou are a duo who travel the World with their business as their Artists hail from Australia across the globe to USA. But their impression of The Maltese Islands was a very positive one and the hospitality shown by The Coastline Hotel Management and Staff contributed in a major way to their love of our Islands. They will be returning to Malta in November to work with Maltese Artists. As i said they were really impressed by our hospitality and talented artists. Thankyou all. Dining Entertainment

The Maltese Islands have often been referred to as the island of sunshine and history and with good reason. With a history boasting 6,000 years of civilisation, every square inch of its land, its temples and monuments bear witness to these past civilisations. For those of you with an appetite for culture, Malta and Gozo are strewn with fascinating historical and archaeological sites, some of which date back earlier than the Pyramids! Museum lovers will find a variety of treasures to discover. Each museum houses fabulous artefacts from various fields and eras be it art, archaeology, natural history, war time, the temples or our celebrated maritime history. And more treasures can be found in one of the 364 churches built on the island! For those interested in old fortifications built at the time of the Knights of St. John, military and historical parades are regularly staged to allow visitors to be swept back in time and if you really wish to fully understand Malta's history, then visit one of the multi-vision shows which encapsulate Maltese history from its very beginnings to modern day. No visitor has ever been to Malta and left without visiting her sister islands, Gozo and Comino. Gozo, aptly termed as the island where time stands still because of the tranquillity it exudes, is greener than Malta and more rural allowing for sweeping views of terraced fields, glimmering shorelines, and imposing churches. Comino, a mile long and uninhabited, is a veritable paradise with a lagoon bluer than turquoise. Valletta, the Fortress City, a city built by gentlemen for gentlemen, has many titles, all recalling its rich historical past. It is the modern city built by the Knights of St John; a masterpiece of the baroque; a European Art City; and a World Heritage City. But these are just some of its faces and fortunes. Valletta is also Malta's capital city: a living, working city, the administrative and commercial heart of the Islands. Nowhere in Malta is the life of the Islands reflected more than here. The city is busy by day, yet retains a timeless atmosphere. The grid of narrow streets house some of Europe's finest art works, churches and palaces and one of the oldest theatres in Europe, the Manoel Theatre. Valletta hosts a vast cultural programme. Street events are staged against the city's magnificent baroque architecture and floodlit bastions. There is theatre and music and all manner of things to see and join in, from avant garde art to traditional church festas. The city is a delight to shop in: narrow side streets are full of tiny shops selling antiques, maps, books, prints and jewellery. Walking around Valletta, you'll come across an intriguing historical site around every corner: votive statues, niches, fountains and coats of arms high up on parapets. And when you need to stop and take it all in, the city yields up squares, courtyards, gardens and any number of cafes, right on cue. Diving is a very popular sport in Malta and for those of you who are passionate about this sport, Malta offers many attractions and spectacular diving sites. Contact Subway Diving School for any queries about diving in Malta. And for those who wish to take it easier, simply stroll around our charming towns and villages and enjoy the uniqueness and tranquillity that is so very typical of the Islands.
