room, decorated predominantly in shades of green, with its magnificently carved fireplace, is said to be where Sir Walter Scott wrote the first draft of his poem about the Trossachs area, The Lady of the Lake, when he stayed at Ballachallan. The Yellow

room, which is not photographed, has a splendid black and rust fireplace and is known as Buttercup! It has its own
private bathroom at the opposite side of the landing and is a
quiet spacious
room.

The informal and relaxed style of hospitality provided by Nigel, Kirsty and her mother Noni ensures guests return and return and really feel the house is their second home. Perfectly situated for a short break or overnight stop en-route to the West Coast, there is plenty to do and see round about. The
restaurant, which caters for most tastes is however renouned for it fabulous Scottish seafood. Reason enough to come and stay althogh it would take weeks to eat your way through the whole menu. Bed

breakfast. Well behaved dog are welcome(not on the beds or in the

beauty of the Trossachs and sail on Loch Katrine in the aptly named
